I can't help but think if you were an in house bethel lawyer sitting in the KH listening to how much love / openness and transparency / accountability the organisation displays as been the one true religion. Then the next day going to court throwing some legal loop hole and a sex abuse case to get them off it.When you knew that the offender had left a multitude of victims and that the policies and procedures of that organisation had aided him. I don't know how they can go around knocking on doors with all this on their mind. So what would you do if you were a lawyer.

Jw gone bad = Wt is just such a hard nut to crack. For the money and legal resources they have at their disposal it makes it very easy for them to steam roll.

What ever is going on and their reasons for doing it, I can certainly smell a rat. I sincerely believe for the money they have got, and for the fraction of abuse cases that can be successfully brought against them, this won't spell the end for them.

by bruh2012 intalking about an article that makes you want to throw-up in your mouth- wt-study jan 15, 2015 the offered themselves willingly.. amazing the psych job of selling your business, moving your entire family, quiting your job to be a "temporary" worker at the new world headquarters!.
throw your livelyhood away only to get the "feeling" that jehovahs is blessing you!
i wish there was away to track the psych job during patterson and other major projects of what happened to all the "friends" that sold and got rid of their livelyhood then and where are they now.. did you ever sacrifce it all for a building project only to be left with nothing after your "spiritual high"?.

I'm lucky although I was a born in jw for decades. I was always cautious about how much of my energy and money I gave them. For as long as I can remember I was always a 1-2 hour publisher that never went above a talk number 4. I never pioneered and probably would of given a couple hundred bucks over the years. At the time I used to feel (and was made to feel) guilty about it. Now I'm thankful. I've always had a materialistic out look and always made sure I had enough in the bank to live well and now I guess i do.

I think if they have set up all these corporations to get get out of paying out on law suites. It will do a reverse turn and bit them on the bum. Just not a good look considering how much they go on about agape love and care for their members. The news media would have an even bigger field day than they are having now.

Coincidently enough I started a thread on the mormon church just a couple of days back here is the link
Here is another article discussing the issues they are facing. To the Mormons credit at least they are honest enough to come out and admit it. Sorry for some reason I can't seem to cut and past outside sources. If you google special report: mormonism besieged by a modern age | Reuters And it should bring it up.
To be honest I don't think the watchtower has got anything on the Mormon church in relation to the scandal and the total BS that surrounds it. Wouldn't it be funny if one day they merged into one.

Direct apostasy never works. There has to be an external trigger that sets you off down this course.

Will They Continue To Take Your Money After Booting You Out?
by steve2 inautomatic bank payments & being disfellowshipped.
as noted on this site, the organization has in place numerous electronic provisions for people to donate money, ranging from one-off payments through to monthly automatic payments from donors' bank accounts into the organization's.. this is all well and good - and consistent with what lots of organizations - religious or otherwise - do.. but, should a donor be disfellowshipped - or disassociated - is the pre-selected donation provision stopped by the organization itself?
do they have any policy at all on it?
