This is another good example of just how in the dark they are. When i was awakening I was talking to a dubbie about the Conti case. 1st reply I got was he wasn't interested in apostate material. I replied by saying I didn't realise the New York Times was apostate. The reply I got back was "don't read overseas news papers because this was going to confuse me". Clearly the issue with child abuse in the watchtower is due to overseas news papers confusing me. This comment come from someone who I would describe as an fair minded reasonable man - for other than been a dubbie. Just saddens me really.

Where to go from here...
by Patrickday ini'm new around here, but i've been browsing the site the last few days in hopes of finding the answer to the situation i've been going through, so hopefully you can help me.
i met this girl in highschool, but never really spoke with her until about a year after i graduated.
she's three years younger (however it's legal where i'm from, don't fret) and still a teenager.

Not a chance of working. Her parents will hate you, and it will just isolate this young girl even more.

JW.Org Blitz
by Theredeemer ini've noticed, partilcularly on instagram, a advertising blitz for jw.org by the dubs.
primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.
i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.

Doc house I had a photo of a famous football player on my bedroom door. I didn't worship or bow down to it either. In fact I had the pic because I liked the photo and also enjoyed the game. Needless to say I succumbed to pressure by my JW Elder, Uncle to remove the idolatrious symbol off my wall. I now wonder would this same JW Elder, Uncle be so quick to say the same thing if the poster was JW.org

I think your lucky. Because you got involved in the cult later in life, and have no family ties to the organization, this puts you at a Hugh advantage. i guess it's up to you weather you decide to make a statement about leaving or not. But you certainly have the upper hand over many of us. All the best mate.

for those still "in" what's the mood
by lastchance inin my area the general sense is bleak.
many are in survival mode.
even at the convention the appearance of the majority was unhappy and tired.

Just to add further to my above post. Out of all those who either were pushed or jumped of their own free will. The majority were in the 18-25:year age bracket.

These are the stats for the last 2 years.
3% disfellowshipped. They all come back. Basically kids who had no where else to go. Be interesting to see if they stay in.
6% just walked out the door under strained circumstances e.g marriage break up, and / or didn't like the way they were treated. I fit into this category.
Since walking out the door there has been a further 3% that i have heard of who are either inactive now or very sporadic meeting attenders.
They have had a publisher reshuffle in order to redistribute numbers to prevent a congregation from collapsing.
And to top it all off my family think there is wondrous growth and Jehovah is speeding it up in the time of the end. I just roll my eyes back and agree.

BOE 2014-07-11 Use of ministerial servants where the number of elders is limited
by WatchTower87 into all bodies of elders.
the congregation secretary should arrange for this letter to be retained in the congregation permanent file of policy letters.
he may also wish to update the congregation copy of the index to lettersfor bodies of elders (s-22) at this time as well.

I think trying to find ministerial servants and elders are the least of their problems. If I was them I would be thankful if they could just retain their youth.

GB member Anthony Morris mentions concerned JW letter at RC
by Acluetofindtheuser ingb member anthony morris mentioned a letter that was sent to bethel by a concerned jw fearing the gt.
he mentioned it on the last sunday talk.
i always wondered if any letter sent to bethel ever reached gb eyes.

Yes they do read the letters. I remember in CoC, Ray mentioning how he took a letter from a publisher that got screwed over from the 1975 debacle.
