Did judge Rutherford piss off Hitler
by greenhornet inthe jws at the time in germany where considered part of the aryan race, (since they were not jews).
then things changed for the jws after rutherford mailed a letter to hitler bragging about jehovahs kingdom on earth.. so can we add this to the bloodshed that that the watchtower corp is responsible for?.

Frank the issue I have is not so much human imperfection and mistakes been made. The issue I have is one of accountability, openness and transparency. Which I believe Wt displays none of it. This has always been and will always be the case. -

by PhilsWager2 inall the money coming inside the organization and goes through those magic donations boxes quilting the likes of sophie and caleb are filling up don't add up!
we know the watchtower does has downsized their spending deeply but where is the money going?
actually you don't need that money to disappear what you need is "hollywood accounting", look what happened to the author of forest gump, he was promised 10% of the net.

first of all i would like to thank orphancrow for his fascinating and insightful research into the jws during world war 2.. this got me thinking however of a very similar situation i heard about in zimbabwe, and what i am wanting to know if anyone can confirm or deny his account.. i was having a conversation with a black brother from zimbabwe while out in field service about the persecution the brothers would be enduring under the rulership of robert mugabe.

First of all I would like to thank orphancrow for his fascinating and insightful research into the JWs during world war 2.
This got me thinking however of a very similar situation I heard about in Zimbabwe, and what I am wanting to know if anyone can confirm or deny his account.
I was having a conversation with a black brother from Zimbabwe while out in field service about the persecution the brothers would be enduring under the rulership of Robert Mugabe. To my surprise this brother actually said the exact opposite to what I thought. Robert Mugabe is quite favourable to the witnesses And prefers to have them working for him in none political roles e.g grounds men, cleaners etc. Because of political neutrality they arnt a threat to his ideals. Interestingly to I note that recently there was an international convention there, and I can't help but wonder if this was a political ploy to perhaps convert the masses to an organisation that will allow him to carry on unhindered. What I think to is this would of also allowed him to improve his public image with the locals e.g foreign currency /spending etc.. As let's face it at the time what other westerner would want to visit Zimbabwe.
What makes me sort of give credit to this brothers account was the fact that he was:
Black.
At least by Zimbabwe standards was wealthy.
I was under no illusion that he certainly didn't like Mugabe, and he was the reason he was forced to leave the county.
Served as an elder in Zimbabwe. (Ok that one really dosnt count. Lol)

I think the WT believed their own "growth" statements - Financial Trouble Thoughts
by thedepressedsoul inwe've all read, heard and have seen in the videos where jw's and their leaders talk about the "huge" growth that is taking place.
they've talked about how many kh they needed, branches etc... .
our co last visit he mentioned how quickly the organization is speeding up and the huge growth they are seeing.

Done4good= I agree with your comments. For sure at the moment they are a wash with cash. It's more the issue of long term solvency. -

I honestly believe by not been more up front about the new funding arrangement (in the elders only part of the letter), this has given the impression to the rank and file they are not short of funds, when the exact opposite could be true. It come back to bite them. I say good bloody job. -

Man I'm just left scratching my head when I hear things like this. Honestly I just walked out the door with out saying anything to anybody. Not a word out of the elders, and not even a visit. I was active in the borg for decades. -

by joe134cd inok this is how the conversation went.. me= is cousin x (not jw) still going out with that arab guy.. mum=no.
he returned home and ended up marrying some one from his home country.
cousin x was telling me that she was quite thank full it ended as it never would of worked because his mother hated her because she wasn't muslim.

Me=Oh really! That's a shame because she would make anybody a wonderful wife. You know I think with religions like that it a matter of having the right badge and position, and if you haven't got it then you are considered not suitable or bad. You know it's funny because you could be a really good person, with a kind heart and good morals but if you weren't seen putting in enough hours down at the mosk then you are judged accordingly.
Mum= Yeah I know it's a real shame. To be honest i really hate religions that are like that.
Me (with an eye roll)= yeah me to.
