Not On JW.ORG : A List Of Child Molestation Lawsuits The Watchtower Corporation Is Currently Fighting In The Courts Internationally?
by frankiespeakin innow that would be something if they made a big list.
or what even might be better if someone had a lists and posted on their site so that when jw.org comes up in a google search their list came up also.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/jehovah's_witnesses'_handling_of_child_sex_abuse.
lawsuits [ edit ]in a press release dated november 21, 2007, jehovah's witnesses' office of public information stated: [54].

It's impossible to get anything to stick to them as far as child abuse goes, because there are just so many legal loop holes to get out of it. But like OJ Simpson just because he wasn't convicted of murder it doesn't necessarily mean he didn't do it.

Posters do you know of any cases where a devout JW was DF'd for Lesbianism?
by booker-t ini think this is a hush hush topic among jws but i remember years ago at an assembly i saw two sisters(i am only assuming they were jws they could have been studies or relatives of jws) walking arm and arm like a married couple.
some of the jws looked at them like they had horns.
some of the jws moms were covering their small children's eyes and those two women were stared at like they had the plague.

Yup I know of one case. Both of them I would of never guessed they were lesbian. Certainly quite straight acting, and I was in disbelief when I heard of it. One left her husband and the other was never married. I believe they are still together.

Where does all the money go?
by Coded Logic insome recent posts on this site have really got me thinking.
the kingdom halls are all paid for by their congregations - as are the assemblies and the conventions (none of it comes out of the wtbts pocket).
every single assembly and convention i have ever been to there is always a surplus of money that is sent back to the society.

I had a friend who was in the Brooklyn bethel. I asked her directly if there were financial concerns. Although she wasn't able to give me any solid facts and figures. She did confirm that these rumors where floating around and she was certainly aware of it. Another interesting comment she made was that that the society was very asset rich and was trying to utilize these assets.

Two things going on here.
(1) New light. Will this be a change in the 144k.
(2) They are trying to save money. It makes me wonder is their financial situation worse than what I think.

Breaking News :Charity Commission takes Wathtower to Tribunal in Britain
by raymond frantz inbreaking news :charity commission takes watchtower to charity tribunal in britain.
two weeks ago we run an article about the abuse case in moston manchester congregation .it would seem that the coverage from the main local newspaper manchester evening news and two national newspapers has alarmed the charity commission the official regulator for charities in england and wales and now for the first time !
they opened an official investigation on both charities ,the local one ,moston congragation and the central one jehovah's witnesses of britain indicating that in their eyes these two are connected and liable for any misconduct .this is the time for a concentrated campaign from all of us to inform the charity commission why the watchtower should not be a called a charity .the article above has a link for the charity commission complaint page .follow it!.

As much as I would like to see it I really don't think they will loose their charitable status. Just to much in their favour. Just curious but if they did obviously they would have to move the money off shore so how woULDs they do it.

"You can't Disfellowship me ......."
by Phizzy inif i ever get the threat of being df'd i think i will say :.
" the religion i left a few years ago no longer exists, you can't disfellowship me from a religion that i never had fellowship in !"..
i know this will make no difference at all, as would whatever i said if they had made up their minds, but it would point out how very very silly the whole idea would be.. any other ideas to briefly sum up what a stupid thing dfing is ?.

I have wondered if anyone has turned it around and set up a JC with the elders to be given a reason of why they should stay. Huh

I'm out- Random thoughts on leaving as I look in the rear view mirror
by Skinnedsheep init is amazing to look back at three years and see the journey that we have taken.
i went from being an elder to fading completely in the course of those three years.
along the way i am happy to say that my lovely wife woke up and realized that the truth is nothing but a lie.

For some reason i cant seem to cut and past on here so i am unable to send the link. If you type into the search bar on the top left hand side "how many in the cong visited you after you started fading" and it should bring up the thread.

This is a thread that i started that express your same sentiments. Trust me after a while you will feel blessed at their lack of concern. I have said this many times and will say it again. It just amazes me at an organization that is prepared to spend billions of dollars and hours, walking aimlessly around getting sworn at and abused to find a new convert and yet will do relatively nothing to retain him. I remember been told this by a sales person. It takes 10× the effort and expense to find a new customer than what it dose to keep an existing one happy. Wt could learn from this because not only is an unhappy customer not coming back he will also tell all his friends the bad experience he had.
