"For God Loved the World so much that he gave his only Begotten Son in order that ....faith ..not destroyed ..everlasting life.
by smiddy inor is their an inconsistency / contradiction here somewhere .?
in genesis god allows satan after deceiving the first human pair to go relatively unpunished for thousands of years interacting between heaven and earth at will.. the so called punishment is not to take effect until thousands of years later.. in the meantime .. the wager ( ?
) between jehovah and satan over jobs loyalty in question ,and obviously satan still having communication with god in the heavens.

Smiddy!
It looks like if you are on the track to get the enlightenment on a subject that philosophers have been struggling with for 2000 years. We all grow up with the very core of Christian believes namely that Christ died to relieve us from our sins and give us eternal life.
How is it possible for a God to “forgive our sins”, when we just committed another one, namely Killed his own son and humiliated and spitted on him. What is the logic? It looks to me that this “Christian idea” actually is against all human etic logic and all for human understandably thoughts.
But religious ideas don’t have any logic reasons. They are just full of blah, blah, and blah. And if you start questioning, and try to straighten out the thoughts into a clear understandable line of axioms, you are from Satan, you will go to hell, and you are Godless atheists and you seduce the young like Socrates…. And some of them are tortured, burned on stakes or forced to take poison, because their ideas are dangerous…. So PLS keep your mouth shut, that is the safest way to stay alive

Where is the proof?
by stuckinarut2 inwe all know that the governing body claim to be "god's representatives" and the "faithful and discreet slave" that dispenses spiritual food..... but where is the proof?.
according to the bible (if we just for a moment take it as a reliable source), all of god's representatives in the past furnished proof of their appointment - not just self referential claims or statements.. for instance, moses and aaron performed miracles before pharaoh (such as the snake staffs.).
other prophets performed signs and miracles such as making the sun stand still, healing sick people, making walls fall down, etc etc.... even jesus performed miracles as proof of his divine appointment!.

Of course the GB cannot claim to be “Gods representatives”, they cannot show any miracle or any sign of having Gods approval… All the miracle that you are referring to in the Bible are actually “no miracles”…..They are just hear sayings that occurred, 100 s of years after the prophets had died. This to enslave or ensure the believers that their believe system is the only right. In 100 year you will probably hear fantastic stories (if JW,s still exists) on how members of the governing body took down the moon and really were astronauts, and how they directly talked to God…..

2017 Sunday RC Final Talk & Comments About 1975
by baldeagle inmany of us here have commented on the deceitful friday afternoon video shown at the 2017 rc that discussed 1975.. the video attempted to shift the blame onto congregation members for the fiasco saying, "some were looking to a certain date as signifying the end of this old system of things.".
this same video mentions how, “a few even went so far as selling their homes and quitting their jobs.”.
we all know that the wt leadership created this teaching and endorsed it right up to its abject failure.. now below is the concluding talk given on sunday at the rc.

I was baptized 1974. It was the top of the 1975 expectations. And no one in my cong, was expecting anything other than the great tribulation. I personally know some families that sold their houses and took their children out of school. They bought a caravan and drive up north to preach for those who hadn´t the opportunity to listen to the good news. They were regarded as truthfully “spiritual models” on how a true JW should act in times “like this”. I also recall CO/DC interviewing these “spiritual” models on assemblies, and encourage all others to follow theirs example. I wonder were those people are today?

by Brokeback Watchtower ini personally would like to see they get the very best but haven't a clue how to do it what are your benevolent words of wisdom, should a person do a deep research on his own a kind of self medication or should they brush up on some psychology,, who should they trust because after you leave you got big trust issues.. i don't know about you but to me it was a real shocker, i was totally into getting their worthless bull shit out of my head.

My response to various comments that I got when starting to grow a beard before I faded, was always: If your God YAWHE has given me a gift as a man, would n´t it be very ungrateful trying every morning to get rid of his gift…..

Can the dead hear?
by AmyWatson916 inthe "what does the bible really teach?
" book says we cannot speak to the dead (page 64) and that the dead do not hear (page 58) but on page 68 the book has jesus talking to a dead man and the dead man apparently hearing and responding.
the same thing happens on page 69 when peter talks to a dead woman and the dead woman apparently hears and responds.

The Bible itself contains 100 x 100 contradictions. I have been listen to Prof. Bart Ehrman sometimes and and his lectures are mind blowing. Here is an link to´one of his lessons:

Unfortunately JWs are not allowed to listen to this...

I think that your post is one of the most interesting I have seen here lately. In fact I would like to read a whole academic essay on the subject. Can you make one? I would gladly by a copy. I think it is true that some religions encourage their believers to violence. Jainism is probably the only I know who doesn´t. Even Buddhist monks in certain area advocates violence in order to correct those who do not accept their belief system. And I think you can find individuals in almost every religion that thinks he/she will do God a favors if he beat/kill torture an defector or disloyal. It´s the personal mindset of the individual person that makes the Muslims, the Chatholics , the Jeevwish, the Pentacostal and all other religion dangerous. I my self has certainly seen JW,s with a mindset that doubtless could be very dangerous if some , charismatic leader pulls the trigger. Wasn´t the Oklahoma bomber a KKK? Breivik from Norway killed about 72 people whit shotguns because he had Nazi ideas. In Sweden we have had a number of “normal” white Swedish guys that that thinks immigrants are dangerous and grabbed a gun going out and shoot them…
It is not your religion or the color of your skin that makes you dangerous, it is your mindset and weather you some sort on mental diagnose…

My wife (still in) still believe in demons. When she was young she thought that she know the art of presage. After marrying me 42 years ago….she has not been able see one single demon or even giving tomorrows weather forecast. Am I a bad influence?
