Crackdown on "sisters" volunteering at DCs

the wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.

any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.

this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.

Yes! I forgot about that one. "A Wrinkle In Time" by Madeline L'Engle. Excellent book.! I read that in elementary school.

What does your Avi mean to you and why have you chosen it?

i'm sure this has been posted before but i think many have changed their avi's.

the frog i have now has a gavel...i liked it because to me, it's giving the impression of being released from bondage (as in a prisoners case).

I chose my Avi because the situation that I went through as an elder which led me to battle against the gb and a host of other wt officials, and which eventually led to my name being announced as "disassociated", even though I never disassociated myself and was never disfellowshipped, is the same type of situation that the character ' Worf ' from Star Trek TNG went through in an episode entitled " Sins of the Fathers". This was actually a 4 part episode, but in that first one, he was shunned by his entire race by "Discommadation". Klingon law also required his family to shun him. There are many more details in this 4 part episode which reflect the jw experience for those of us who think for ourselves.

I showed this 4 part episode to a friend of mine who never was a jw but who knows the details of what happened to me and she saw the connections without me saying a word. I really wish that all of us who have been shunned could see this 4 part episode. If you already have Star Trek TNG on tape or DVD, you might want to rewatch these particular episodes: Sins of the Fathers, Reunion, Redemption 1 and Redemption 2. Just a suggestion.

Excellent points. Whether its property in Brooklyn or kingdumb halls, the fact is that many of us gave our money, time and energy which has contributed to the multi-millions in dollars worth of property that wt has or is selling.

My comment on this thread:

None of us, and including current jws in the local congs, will ever get any of the hundreds of millions of dollars that wt is getting by selling the property WE made it possible for them to get over the years. And that includes how our parents and grandparents also contributed money time and energy to make it possible for wt to obtain all their real estate from years ago up until modern times.AND WE SHOULD BE LIVID ABOUT THIS. I AM.Ronin 1, you and I personally spent 10 years on the construction crews, so you know personally what I mean.

It is obvious to me that with the older guard dying off, the younger guard simply want to perpetuate their parasitical lifestyle of living off the rank and file, so they can have an easy lifestyle like those before them. Do you think they really want to give it up despite the many scandals that have been brought to light? No. They will do anything to perpetuate their parasitical lifestyle, even though they know the beliefs are false. Just like the leaders in most or all religions.As has been brought out by former bethelites who have posted on this board in the past, "They do not want to have to go, 'On the outside' ", meaning that they refuse to have to provide for themselves like all of us have to with jobs, paying bills etc. etc.

It is obvious that they want to "get theirs", like the older bastards before them. And they will keep trying to make sure of that by getting money anyway they can. Like selling the property they obtained on our backs. And if it means getting rid of some bethelites, they don't care.

Now at least some of the bethelites who are now getting kicked out for the sake of money, and who looked down on us because we were not bethelites can personally experience the honest truth of the old saying,

"THERE IS NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES".

1. bethel in ny suspect high level apostate, cant identify it but know its there.

2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

Although I have dealt with a number of the other gb members, I'm specifically commenting here on Samuel Herd. You are definitely right about his 'lack of any luster'. During my fight for justice in my case, my brother and I went to wt hq and demanded to speak to a gb member. They sent Samuel Herd. My brother and I threw scriptures at him along with wt literature applications that even he could not challenge. And we discussed the situation with him for 30 minutes! Not only was he unable to challenge us, but he did not use even one scripture or even one wt literature application. He had an astonished look on his face as we made application after application using the scriptures and their own wt literature. We left him speechless. What a dolt!

I actually had the opportunity to do just what you mentioned you would do to ted jaracz if you saw him. Some years ago Bill B. called me to participate in a news conference in front of wt hq with a few other new yorkers. I jumped at the chance. I wore a suit and walked right past 124 columbia hts.The a%&hole ted jaracz was coming out of the building at the time and since I looked like a bethelite in my suit, he just figured I was a bethelite. He walked right next to me and said,"Good morning brother . Where ya headed? To work? I said confidently, "I'm handling some business down here".

But I was so concerned about what I would say at the news conference that I wasn't thinking about the opportunity I had to spit in his face. DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!

If the law of probability ever allows me to have that opportunity again, I WON'T make the same mistake.

i know jaracz was publicly accused of molesting a young girl (now an adult).

Gleaning at Bethel

want to see bethelites act like greedy scavengers?

just check out the tail end of bethel family breakfast, lunch or dinners.

for those not familar with this phenomenon, gleaning was when bethelites could basically bring their tupperware dishes down and store up on the leftover meals once the family was dismissed (usually by prayer, except for the bethel dinner).
