Ok, so I'm looking for a new book to start reading...

    Any genre, any style.

What are you favorite books of all time?

To Kill a Mocking Bird. Still very timely in our day!

And a good and interesting read. The Time Traveler's Wife

"On the Road" by Jack Kerouac.

Or "The Big Walk" by Willie T. Clay if you can find it. Sort of the Afro American version of On the Road.

    Dune by Frank Herbert

I've read Dune 3 times now, the first time as a young 14 year old.

Buddhism Without Beliefs by Stephan Batchelor

Take all the mystical hocus-pocus out of Buddhism and distill it down to its essence. Beautiful.

I really recommend a book called "Day of the Bees" by Thomas Sanchez. It might be hard to find but it's incredible.

Other incredible reads are Howard's End, by EM Forster, or Defoe's classics like Robinson Crusoe and Moll Flanders.

Or anything by Fannie Flagg. She wrote Fried Green Tomatoes. She is a brilliant author- bittersweet, funny, moving and wholly satisfying.

I love Westerns, old movies especially. After watching the mini- series "Lonesome Dove " years ago I decided to read it.

    Simply amazing book, beautifully written.
