  btw, even though stephen lett was not on the gb when the case started, he was on the gb later on when the case was still being fought and he was personally notified about the details of everything that was going on and he did nothing.. the original elders involved from the merrick congregation in jamaica queens are george jenkins, darrel jenkins, willie gant, james lilly, joseph douse.

  paul moske is the correct name and he was also involved in this case.

  got more information recently.. brooklyn bethel is downsizing , bigtime.. first, they are moving a lot of printing out of brooklyn.

  and into "regional" branches, perhaps closer to where.

  the material is distributed.

  Jehovah NEVER WILL BE backing the WT.

  Lets NEVER forget this: JUSTICE demands the DESTRUCTION of the WT. Nothing less.
  And reports like the one in this thread show that thats just what is happening even if slowly. But its destruction can be speeded up. It just takes continued effort and sharing of important information.

  After reading everyone's comments on this most interesting thread (thanks Randy), I believe that this rumor is true.There is no doubt in my mind that with the 39 million dollar tab they have to pay to France, and the lawsuits over various issues that are against them now, wts is looking to save and make money in anyway that they can.
  (Boozy, and others thanks for the insight on the printing industry).
  Interestingly here in the Jamaica Queens New York area, this is what the WTS is "telling" the brothers and sisters they are going to do with two kingdom halls. One of these kingdom halls is located in Springfield Gardens and has been around since at least the early 60's. I grew up for part of my youth in this hall and in recent years it was renovated nicely. The basement is used for 2nd and 3rd schools so it has adequate room.Only 3 congs had been meeting there. I know people who still go there and I can assure you the meetings are not overflowing.There are a lot of empty seats.Supposedly the borg is going to destroy this hall and build a duplex hall on the property.So at this time all 3 congs are going to other halls in the area for their meetings way across town. One of the halls that these congs were sent to is located in Cambria Hts. Queens NY This hall is located on Linden blvd in Cambria Hts and this hall was also also one of the first in Queens nicely renovated in recent years and I helped in this renovation.The meetings at this hall are also full of a lot of empty seats so therefore there is adequate room. I have been informed that this hall is now also scheduled for destruction to build a duplex hall on the property. My informant who was taken out of the first hall mentioned above and sent to this one tells me that they are wondering what is going on, and why duplexes need to be built in place of these 2 halls which basically have nothing wrong with them.
  I personally believe that the promise to build a duplex is nothing but a smokescreen.I believe that the wts will eventually sell these properties.I just can't believe that after all these years and with their present and obvious money saving tactics, that the wts is going to spend three-quarters to a million dollars each for 2 duplex halls.Not that they are not capable of doing that, but I believe that since property values in Queens are so high and getting higher each year, and that since these halls are in prime locations, I just feel they have something else up their sleeve. After all, they don't care about the rank and file or how hard it might be to go to another hall.
  I believe they are going to try and make money with these two properties. Therefore I am also sure that the rumor of letting go of 60% of the printing personnel has its basis in fact.

  i posted this on the old h2o board and i am posting it here especially for those who are still inside the wts and for those lurking here who may now be questioning the wts.. this taken from the watchtower bound volume of 1962 pages 112-114.. this article gives the bible account of 1 kings 13:1-28 in paragraphs 10-14. i will not quote the entire passage here because of its length but i suggest you read it when you have the chance.. the information presented in this article definitely contains the usual wts contradictions but this article is proof that any jw is not obligated to obey anything said by the wts whether the so-called direction comes from an elder, ministerial servant, co, do, city overseer, or gb member.. here are some of the exact words from this watchtower article under the subheading "avoiding presumptuous acts" :"what does the christian learn from this?

  to be constant in faultless walking in jehovah's eye's, always seek his direction, especially at perplexing moments in life.

  I hear what you are saying, but the point I was making is that the article itself admits that JWs do not have to listen to anybody in the organization who is in authority. So this article does "play with the WTS." And acording to the info presented, it does not matter what anyone in Mother Org says to do. this article gives license to ignore WT officials completely if you feel that what they are saying is not in line with what God would want you to do.
  If you read the entire article from the 1962 bound volume pages 110-116 and give it some thought, you will see what I'm talking about.

  There is no doubt that this article was written to fit some particular situation that was probably going on at the time, but it is another example of their hypocrisy and how they try to fit certain sayings in at one time and then at another time they will go against what they've said before.But they condemn themselves in the process and you can see it if you give it enough thought.
  Eddie read the entire article and you will see what I'm talking about.

To be constant in faultless walking in JEHOVAH'S eye's, always seek HIS direction, especially at perplexing moments in life. Never push ahead presumptuously either on our own ideas or upon the urgings of someone else, even though that person may occupy a responsible position in God's organization. By seeking JEHOVAH'S direction, we avoid being misled by imposters or by those who may mean well but who are acting upon their own understanding."

  When you read this article you will of course find the usual promoting of the organization. But the key phrase above is" NEVER PUSH AHEAD ON THE URGINGS OF SOMEONE ELSE, EVEN THOUGH THAT PERSON MAY OCCUPY A RESPONSIBLE POSITION".WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. This article specifically says to look to Jehovah and obey HIM, not any man.

  So from the WTS own writings, NO ONE, is obligated to obey any elder, cicuit overseer, district overseer, city overseer, or governing body member if they do not agree with what they have told them.

  This also means that the WTS constantly goes against its own writings when they punish(by reproof, disfellowshippping, or removal from positions) those who don't listen to others in so-called responsible positions in the organization, and when they Disfellowship and label as apostates those who question their teachings and refuse to follow them when these ones find that the teachings are not in harmony with the Bible.
  The entire article mentioned above is very interesting.
  It is another example of the WTS being condemned by their own writings.

  I always enjoy your posts even from the old h2o.
  I am in total agreement with what you said.From what I can see the wts will eventually fall.Maybe sooner. Maybe later. Hopefully sooner.
  You are right. They have actually built up a catch-22 situation.They need to change to survive but at the same time changing would be costly and just lead to more seeing the real truth about them. If they don't change, people will also just get tired of the same old bs they keep dishing out.And they will continue to leave and of course as mentioned by another poster, some will actively fight against them as we see happening now.They are being battled on too many fronts. Their destruction is imminent.
  More work needs to be done in New York City though. But I'm sure that will happen soon too.

  i know i said i wouldn't post here again because of the way i made everyone upset over alanf,but i thought you all might want to know what took place and i do need some advice.. .

  yesterday i took a little time out to talk with jehovah's witnesses.

  at first they were more than happy to answer my questions.

  Danni,

  Its obvious to me that somehow you opened up a can of worms in that area with those witnesses. If they are inviting you to the hall to answer your questions it must be that they feel they have to defend themselves.I would not be surprised if because of your conversation, a number of the j-dubs there are questioning some things and/or have begun to look into things you mentioned.Sometimes it just takes a few words to get the spark going.
  Whatever the situation is, and no matter how far it goes, you've got them on the defensive here. Use that.
  But my suggestion is not to give them a list of questions in advance.
  All they'll do is prepare ahead of time to use stupid wt rhetoric as answers and lies as excuses.
  I wish I could be there with you.
  If they refuse to meet with you if you don't give the list ahead of time, F em.
  But continue your efforts to inform whoever you can. All you got to do is sow the seed.It'll grow. Its growing here in N.Y.
