  One prayer that works for you.

  admittedly, this thread is for believers.

  is there a prayer that when you pray it, you feel that it gets answered faithfully?

  for example, maybe when you?re afraid you pray for courage and you?re given it.

  BOE Letters

  around 18 months ago or so i thought i heard about one (body of elders letter) that counseled elders that if they had committed fonication, and it had been awhile, and if they felt that god had forgiven them, that it was not necessarily a mandate that they confess to their fellow elders nor step down.

  or, something to that effect.

  does anyone remember that one or where i can get a copy?.

  why is everyone so afraid?

  i am new to this forum, and so far all i read is how we all hide from the wittnesses we now, or don't answer the phone, or walk the other way when they walk down the street.

  to tell you a little about myself, i grew up a j.w, i was married when i was 21. my first wife was abused by a brother in her hall for years.

  we were married for about a year , when one day i got a phone call from a man at the watchtower and track society.

  hi all you doll faces!!

  all the negativity in the world, at work, on this board even, have driven me over the edge.

  i've become a love bomb just waiting to explode (gotta do something to counteract some of the negativity) so here goes.

  How has your marriage been affected by leaving the WTS?

  it's been exactly 2 years since i stopped attending jw meetings and it's taken a toll on my marriage.

  i expected as much but i guess you can never really prepare for the pain you have to go through when one mate no longer believes in the same things they once did.

  i think my wife has honestly tried hard (as have i) to make the relationship work but i think we're both realizing that there are some really large issues before us that will never be resolved.

  I walked away from my marriage the day I walked away from the troof. I took the kids and the car and drove half way across the state. No ifs ands or buts about it. The best day of my life!

  some of you know that we live way out in the country, deep in the woods of northern mn.

  one of the great things out here is the abundant wildlife that we see everyday.

  last week we had a huge porcupine in the yard (which our four year old calls a hamster.....lol).

  I would give anything to let my girls experience playing with a deer like that. My 2 year old gets excited over a kitty cat, I can only imagine if she had bambi eating off of her hand...

  I was in so much pain this week that death seemed it was the only answer. I realized that I dont fear death.
