INTERESTING QUOTE FROM A DISTRICT OVERSEER
by The Searcher ini personally recorded a district overseer's statement he made in a talk, regarding calling someone a "despicable fool".
(matthew 5:22) .
he basically equated that term with calling someone an apostate!!!

Gerrit Losch was actually once an apostate.
by Julia Orwell ina jw friend of mine (who was one of my besties until i told him i didn't believe jw religion anymore) used to live in austria and for a while in the 70's was in the same congregation as losch.
they used to spend some time together in the ministry.
my jw friend tells me that he and losch used to often talk about how they believed the wt was wrong about certain interpretations of the bible, for example, how at the time the wt taught that the mustard tree used by jesus in an illustration represented an evil kingdom, and losch and friend didn't think that was right.

From oblivion to oblivion
by paranoia agent inwe all are on our separate journeys, some of us are undecided, some unconvinced, others no longer believe in the cult but now in another religion, or lost complete belief in deities.. i don't know how beneficial these atheists threads are to new comers, perhaps it would be more difficult to accept certain information, for example scientific methods and understandings rather than different interpretations of the bible, this was the case with me at the start of my journey from leaving this jw cult.. when i left i bought many bibles, some expensive interlinears and commentaries, today my reading material mainly consist of science and social political issues, how i have changed.
i am happy that i will die knowing i won't have all the answers, i know none of you will even if you believe in invisible parents.
my views changed so much that not only do i no longer believe in deities but also the hate i have towards a fiction god of pure evil that many claim to be good.. but one thing i do know, is that it's too much for me to believe in a book who we don't know the authors, that has inconsistencies and errors, and that somehow didn't speak bad about roman authority at the time ****yink*** ***yink****.. remember what jesus said, pay to caesar what belongs to caesar?

Christ Jesus vs Jesus Christ in RNWT
by wisdomfrombelow ini noticed in the bible reading in titus this week that that they changed one instance of christ jesus to jesus christ.
it made me wonder why it was done and what benefit it could have in their doctrines..

An Ex-JW Legal Department, NGOs, ectÂ…
by Londo111 inthe watchtower has the means because of the legal department to win cases in their favor, and appeal all the way up to the supreme court.
the average person does not often have the resources to get equal legal representation.
it is david going up against goliath, but in real life: goliath wins.. if only there was a legal department for ex-jws who needed it, whereupon they could get free legal help, not just on behalf of themselves, but who could win rights for the entire ex-jw community, even individual jws who need help against such a huge cooperation.. for instance, have you caught wind that the elders are doing an investigative committee on you, violating your privacy?

Awake! January 2014 - Which 'basic' kind are humans?
by bats in the belfry ingod did not make life in a simple form and allow it to evolve into more complex forms.
instead, he created basic kinds of complex plants and animals, which then reproduced according to their kinds.
( genesis 1:11, 21, 24 ) this process, which continues today, has resulted in the earth being filled with the same kinds of life that god originally created.. the bible does not specify how much variation can occur within a kind, as might result when animals within a kind interbreed and adapt to their environment.
