  good news-- step one accomplished!

  i just wanted to share the good news that wednesday was the last day of my summer teaching internship.

  i had a great time with the kids-- they were ready to learn, be challenged and have fun.

  and this was summer school!

  Have you reconnected with ex-JW's after you have left the Borg?

  after reading from another thread, i felt it was worth asking this question.. if you left the borg on your own, have you attempted to meet others whom you used to be connected with while you were "in", but who have also become ex-jw's before or after you have left the wts?

  if that's the case, has it remained a friendship, or the connection grew cold?

  just curious as to what keeps friendships "stick" [or not] once you no longer have the borg's doctrinal glue.. your experiences are welcome.. eden.

  I've attempted to reconnect with several df'd ones on FB, particularly those who were df'd as teens and remained out. Haven't been able to be too open about things as I'm a non-attending, inactive for 3-years fader.

  i just want to be left alone by them.

  Skeeter, keep on your journey. You are right, I think, to walk away from the toxic family. None of us needs to drink poison.

  You are obviously a very cool person in your own right, and that doesn't depend on having someone special like your husband to make you special. You just ARE.

  This would be a fun band to see! Maybe we could go as a group and wear tshirts with the new blue jw.org logo overlaid with the slashed red circle (for "not allowed"). Wish I could design that and copy it here, maybe someone with skills?

  There is no logic to any of their teachings. Zero. Zip. Nada.

  Their attitudes about "armageddon" are so judgmental as to be wicked in and of themselves. Even the idea that any particular person has the right, much less the knowledge and wisdom, to discern even in a general way what type of person may survive and which might be murdered is BIZARRE.

  No one teaches the jws to follow in the footsteps of Jesus anymore. For a group that presents itself as the foremost bible authority, that is just pitiful.

  They are nothing but a giant pile of nonsense.

  What's Worse than a Pedophile? A Elder Who Tells Newspapers JWs Hide them?

  in jw "practices", is a active pedophile worse than a elder who called the police and exposed a watchtower cover-up?

  i wrote how some pedophiles have bought lavish gifts, throw elder parties, and bring out their best worldy gifts to win the hearts of the congregations shepherds.

  sadly to report, a large portion of the jw elders are not educated leaving them to rely on the watchtower's written materials to decide what is "right and wrong", instead of using the bible or mankind's laws.. .

  Blondie, so true. When have the wt leaders and elders ever been truly concerned about women and children, the pedophile's victims?

  Having been in the midst of pedophile activity (from the victim's and family's side), the most noticeable activity has been the elders' extreme lack of caring and lack of love shown to victims and families.

  In jw-land, pedophiles have freedom while their victims are not allowed to speak out.

  Jw elders should be sickened and ashamed of themselves for supporting these crimes.

  JW.Org Blitz

  i've noticed, partilcularly on instagram, a advertising blitz for jw.org by the dubs.

  primarily its the younger ones 35 and under vs older ones.

  i dont know if its just my friends or everyone but they are obsessed with jw.org.

  I'm still wondering which people literally "kneel, kiss and pray" to rock bands and money.

  Idol worship can, and usually does, involve worshipping something by giving it undue reverence and a prominent place in one's life. Certainly the zeal with which the jws are personally promoting the blue box symbol qualifies as a form of idol worship or idolatry.

  jws were not even supposed to wear watchtower symbols or Jah-jewelry showing the Tetragrammaton but now there's been a huge flip-flop and this symbol is being promoted like something created by Madison Ave, which it probably is. Jws are NOT preaching the good news of gods kingdom but are promoting a website.

  Were Jesus still be in it, he'd be turning in his grave.

  INSTAGRAM "greatest month of witnessing" etc...

  oh wow!....

  i have seen some really pathetic instagram posts today..... so many have posted pictures of "all of us out in service in the greatest month of witnessing ever camapign"..... there are slide shows, with snapshots of old and very young in service handing out leaflets etc... it is really quite sad to see the hype building up!.

  anyone else seen such things?.

  The real fun will begin after jw.org becomes commonplace and nothing big happens. It was one thing to believe you had to share "the good news of gods kingdom" but I think it'll be tougher to keep sheeples convinced that they must continually share "the good news of our website".
