Yup. "Darwin's theory is still JUST a theory. After all these years. Many supposed enlightened minds even disagree with his version of how evolution works." Makes you want to stand up and scream, it's been 150 years! Of course science and evolutionary science has advanced!!!!

Julia, I wasn't intending to call you out and I don't think your simple minded at all. I was just pointing out that belief in a creator or creation of the initial life, does not discredit evolution. Even if God exists, evolution seems to be the proven way life works. How did life get here? That's another argument. Abiogenesis is I think that discussion, not sure? But, life evolving and survival of the fittest are proven facts.

Another rant - how can WT say that Neanderthals and Cro Magnon man were just other human races when the DNA is wrong? If my understanding is correct we share 4% of DNA with Neanderthals. So we had a common ancestor or interbreeding took place. If they were a human race wouldn't the DNA all match? I'm still new to this and learning as fast as I can.

Julia, I appreciate your comments. Like you I've tried researching everything to find an answer. Consider this, evolution is now a scientific fact. Even most dubs would without knowing it agree when they say that the diverse animal life on our planet came from a small selection that Noah took on the ark. Evolution doesn't address what caused life, simply how life works. It is possible in my view to believe in a god if you choose while still acknowledging the facts that prove evolution. Just my thoughts on the matter. Anyways, more on the talk.

you may doubt it, but most of those are direct quotes. I didn't try to make him look dumber. He said Hitler was an evolutionist as proven by his trying to make a supreme survival of the fittest race... It's the blending of tiny bits of truth with common scare tactics and prejudices that anger me. "Them evolutionists say we's all a bunch of monkeys! Well I don't know bout you, but I ain't no monkey!!!" (I added this, but it was his general tone, haha)

Our schools teach our children they are nothing but glorified apes.

Darwin's unproven theory is flawed.

Hitler had impact on whole world, his mind was captivated by evolutionary theory. Nazis were evolutionists.

Comrade Stalin became an atheist an evolutionist. Infamous for brutality. Top ten of most evil men ever existed shared by Hitler and Stalin.

World war 2 was brought on by evolutionary ideas and thinking.

Purpose of humans according to Darwin is just to breed with an endless string of women, and same for women. Also Darwin said parental love is just a tool or gene to grow the race of man for survival of the fittest.

Evolution tied in with no morals or love, and how woman and children strapping bombs to chest and walking into largest crowds they find to hurt and kill as many as they can.

i almost died during this talk.

My husband MISSED the meeting today! Unheard of!

he decided to take me somewhere nice in the country for a day instead, and when he suggested it last night i was amazed that he would have even thought of missing the meeting!

he was one of those guys who only missed a meeting, literally, if he had a spinal injury and couldn't move!.

but, i've been sharing a little of the ttatt with him, teensy tiny bits that i can substantiate from the bible or other reputable sources.

So happy for you! Just be incredibly fun today and positive and happy. Let him see that it's not all doom and gloom when you leave.

I need some advice please!!! I'm torn on what to do.

this morning i woke up thinking about a friend of mine, i will call her sara...here's some of the back story.. we grew up together and have always been good friends, even though we wouldn't stay in touch, we would just pick up where we left off.

sara has always been different, and i never really knew what it was growing up, but i didn't care, she was my friend.

so we lost touch for many years and then about 4 yrs ago when i went back to my home town, we reconnected.

Memorial Flyer Acknowledges Public Disdain for JWs - Implicitly

yesterday, i had the opportunity to review the official jw invitation to their "memorial" event.

the front of the flyer has a well-groomed, caucasian jesus, leading all the minority people somewhere .

most likely to a factory in brooklyn to serve as slaves for a publishing company.. curiously, there is no mention of jehovah's witnesses anywhere on the face of that flyer.
