  2013 DC new releases - rumors ???

  there is rumors that in this years dc nwt will be released and also new tracts.

  any other rumors about new releases?.

  Since there is nothing wrong with the NWT, and contrary to what some wrote above, that is not what is wrong with the religion as the doctrines based on the NWT are sound.

  An updated Reasoning book would be reasonable.

  The main reason that I had for field service was to argue the trinity and other doctrines. At least that was fun. Now, I just don't care. Not my job to deal with a Bible that is unclear on these issues that people back then should have asked Jesus or others about to get clarity. I mean, why didn't someone directly as Jesus 'what happens when we die?' If someone did, why isn't that in the Bible?

  A few months ago an elder called and asked if I would go in the ministry with him. I did and the first hour was the regular waste of time and gas at not at homes. Then I got internally mad at how they do break at 11am, then RVs. Drive around just to fill time, like punching a clock.

  last thursday i was propmpted by a recent thread to read the daily text (feb 28, 2013).

  i then had the audacity to send a text message to all four jw's nephews/nieces (in their mid 20's).

  i offered my opinion by summarizing it "put and shut up".

  Wouldn't it be like taking a drug addict to rehab and bringing them into withdrawal for a while.

  They feel bad for a while then get over it.

  Better in the long run.

  i have been skimming the magazine this morning, and the whole issue seems designed to keep the flock at the kh.

  yes, i know this is not exactly " new " information.

  still with all the problems the organization is having, this one just seemed to strike me as odd.

  Totally generic rhetoric. The regular, Bible characters did this and that, why can't you be just like them.

  I don't want to be just like them. I want a new Bible with updated characters.

  a topic on here about 1975 prompted me to write about how, for me, that is and never was or will be an issue.. also, the 144,000 and 'two classes' with memorial partaking, and child abuse are not issues with this religion.

  everyone has their unique teachings and personnel problems.. the real problem with this religion was highlighted in the 2008 yearbook.

  it gave a story of a young woman who was from estonia who was on the equivalent of american idol for estonia.

  A topic on here about 1975 prompted me to write about how, for me, that is and never was or will be an issue.

  Also, the 144,000 and 'two classes' with memorial partaking, and child abuse are not issues with this religion. Everyone has their unique teachings and personnel problems.

  The real problem with this religion was highlighted in the 2008 Yearbook. It gave a story of a young woman who was from Estonia who was on the equivalent of American Idol for Estonia. She made it through to go to their Hollywood, but she had a talk scheduled in the Theocratic Ministry School and she wanted to give God priority.

  The problem being that people are given no dignity by their talents, goals, asperations, creativity being wasted and people are pushed into being just part magazine, tract, invitation distribution chain, just a cog in the machine, rather than to take advantage of their talents and develop them.

  It reminds me of the episode of Star Trek Original Series, the Apple. McCoy said the people are a viable society; then Spock said that they have no initiative no creativity. They just live to serve Vaal. The Witnesses are the same way. They have no creativity, no initiative, and are just content with doing what is termed "serving Jehovah". If somone wants to be a doctor, actor, nuclear physisist, singer or whatever, that one is discouraged about that and is only encouraged to pioneer, i.e. get 70 hours in the door to door to support the organization.

  So, all of these other complaints are simply attacks because they don't like something else with the people or religion; but the wasted lives and talents applies and transends to everyone.

  WT Society holds EXTREME Responsibility for 1975 and False Expectations

  however- many jw's who have come into the jw organization from like 1985 forward virtually may have no knowledge of the wt society's 1975 debacle and false predictions of the end times or armageddon predictions.

  just like in in the book 1984 by george orwell the wt society has a way of not only erasing it's history so no newer witnesses will be aware of their false predictions, but also they are re-writing their history as if those false predictions never happened.. so for those of you here who may have never read or heard of how whipped up into an emotional frenzy witnesses were in the years just before 1975 by the wt society claiming the end was any day now- this threads for you.

  to see the pressure that was put on jw's by the wt society to get rid of everything before " armageddon " .

  The CO asked for money tonight at the meeting.

  i was shocked i do not know why as i have read that the co's were doing this but to hear it with my own ears was unbelievable.

  i do not go to the meetings but my husband still does and this week is the co's visit.

  i decided that i would listen in to his talk; i swear i have lost some brain cells by doing it but anywho.. he started out by talking about the old story that has been in the wt many times about a little boy who was seven and raised a chicken and gave the money to the society.

  The constant 'Deficit' at every Circuit Assembly was really annoying, expecially when it was fabricated by manipulation- send more to the Wt. than is in the coffers, then guilt trip the faithful to cover the loss.

  That always bothers me. Why are they resolving to donate to the WWW while there is a deficit? Answer: Because they know that people will think that is good and hear the word deficit and make up for it.

  And they know that the purpose of the assemblies is to get that donation to the WWW and all of the elders will OK it.

  Reminds me of how my congregation in former city was looking for land. They had it surveyed. They had a resolution asking if the invoice for work done should be paid. I thought 'duh, if the work has been done it has to be paid'. Like going to a restaurant and having a resolution as to whether the bill is paid. Dumb.

  What if you say you don't believe or trust in God anymore?

  people here have commented how in judicial meetings, they are asked if they believe that the gb or wts is god's representative or the fds is used by god.. what if you say you don't believe in god anymore because of all of the bad things happening around the world and god does nothing.. representatives of a god that does nothing, would also do nothing so how could one believe in them?.

  What if you say you don't believe in God anymore because of all of the bad things happening around the world and God does nothing.

  Representatives of a God that does nothing, would also do nothing so how could one believe in them?

  New Stupid Assembly Rules

  i have heard on this discussion board numerous rules that apply to upcoming a$$emblies.

  some are designed to stop people from meeting the opposite sex; others, to make sure everyone is always ready to recruit new members into the scam.

  i heard that some km inserts have been urging those whose congregation has cleaning assignments to sit in the section that they are assigned to clean.

  Why use towels at all?

  Wash hands, rinse, and let the air dry or leave them wet. That way when someone tries to shake hands, they can shake a wet hand.
