  i'm not sure where to put this under, but i got a message from my anti-virus service.

  they were informing me that facebook left everyone's password open for any employee of facebook to see.

  they strongly recommended people to change their password to their facebook account.

They strongly recommended people to change their password to their Facebook account. They said Facebook is supposed to send out an e-mail to inform people of this, but I have not heard a word from Facebook. I just wanted to pass this message to everyone here.

  JWs - Followers of Men - 100% Proof

  for those that are convinced they are not following man, but jehovah, this example is 100% proof they follow men.

  if they twist this to say they don't follow man, well, there is no hope for them.. the bible is very clear to honor your father and mother, it was and is so important, it's listed as one of the 10 commandments.

  when that parent leaves the truth, either due to disassociation or being disfellowshipped, the child shuns them for life.

  Is it OK to teach your children that Homosexuality is wrong?

  i know a few family's who have left the cult but send their kids to a religious school because of the public schools teaching many times that homosexuality is ok. the bible is clear that its a sin.

  there is no just love each other and its all ok. i don't believe in the bible or any religion.

  i have a niece who came out as gay and i told her i don't care.

  This subject came up with both of my boys while they were still in high school. My eldest had a friend who, when she came out to her parents about this, they were extremely hateful to her, and called her a few choice words. My son witnessed this awful thing happen to his friend, so he was wondering how his father and I would handle the same situation and asked us about it. At first, he didn't tell us this but asked us how we would feel if he said that he was gay. We both told him that it didn't matter to us whom he chooses to be involved with, because he is our son, and we would love and support him regardless of his decision. It was then he told us about his friend and her parents. It was so bad that the girl nearly committed suicide. There is NOTHING in this world that would ever cause me to turn my back on my own children, including this.

  My parents, on the other hand, is a completely different story. My mother has the typical JW attitude about it, and my dad (not a JW) hates them with a passion, and I was raised up with this. My dad's sister actually went to prison for murdering a lesbian when she was younger, that is how extreme my dad's side of the family views this.

  i have a jw wife who in 10 years of marriage i have never seen actually read the bible, never given a witness to me, never had a biblical discussion.

  for a number of years now hardly even reads the magazines.

  I'd say probably say there are quite a few as well. I say this because if they actually took the time to read the bible in it's complete context, and not taking it out of context like the Watchtower tells it, they would see very quickly how bogus things really are. While I was still a JW, I never read the bible from Genesis to Revelation, but I did after I left it. All of it except for the genealogy part, that always makes my eyes gloss over, and I really don't care to know who the father and son were of So and So.

  When did jws start viewing the "worldly" as bad associates?

  I don't know who started this, but I remember back in the late 1980s I would constantly hear this. They really aimed this at the teens, or at least it seemed that way to me. There was one time down in southern Oklahoma, there was a congregation that I attended, had some real issues with cliques, and I was not part of the group. There were pretty close to 15 other teens there, but none of them would have anything to do with me. So I made friends at school, and none of them were "good association" aka JWs. Most of the time they didn't give me any mind, other than doing a total avoidance of me. But one time I decided to hang out with a girl from school who was a smoker, and there was a designated smoking area for the teens at school (1984). At the very next meeting I attended, all of a sudden I had several people asking me why I was hanging out in the area with bad association and a bunch of other crap. When I was a teen I had no desire to smoke, drink, or do drugs, and not because I was a JW, just because it never interested me. I told them point blank, that their good little JW children would avoid me, so what did they expect me to do. I wasn't baptized at the time, and no desire to become one, so there wasn't much they could do to me. It was funny because at the next meeting I got a huge "love bombing" from those snotty @SS JW brats with the next meeting, then the next meeting after that it was back to the normal avoidance.

  i'm new here, but i've been an ex-witness since 2015 (not disfellowshipped, faded and inactive but no longer believing) and i'm working on an art/personal project gathering the bapstism photos of many different ex-witnesses.

  i am asking that anyone who feels comfortable with it send me (private message me) their photos that they or others took on the day of their baptism (before, after, or during).

  i will not post these online anywhere or publish them.

  Zeb, where were you baptized at, if you don't mind me asking? I was in Witchita, Kansas, summer of 1987. There was a little girl sitting next to me who was extremely young who was getting baptized.

  I don't have any photos of my time as a JW, other than my wedding pictures, and a couple of baby pictures. When I left the JWs, I very angry at everyone associated with that organization that I personally knew, I ended up mailing almost all my pictures to my biological mother, that had anything with her in it. That was after I got the most hateful letter from that bi*ch, I was making a huge statement, and I told her so in a not so friendly letter, and she got the message loud and clear. It was very therapeutic.

  Will the Russian brothers start to wake up?

  if i was a russian brother i would be wondering what exactly is the gb doing to help us out.

  they are sitting in their lakeside corporate country club doing nothing while outside worldly agencies are making known our plight.

  i found it puzzling that they flew out of russia like a bat out of hell as soon as the court rendered its decision leaving us high and dry.

  The Watchtower has the flock convinced that if they are going through persecution then that is one of the signs that they are God's people, and are in the true religion. Also, another problem is they don't think for themselves. But could you just picture how mad a person would be once they do finally wake up, and realize the troubles they went through over a lie?

  There are quite a few JW that would stay in even if they knew it was a lie, both my mother and mother-in-law said those exact words about themselves. All I can reply that it is their loss, not mine.
