JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, FROM GOD OR SATAN?

until recently i was a devout member of the jehovah's witnesses.

i found this to be wholly unreasonable.

how can they say they are protecting the families, when it is usually the paedophiles own children that are being abused!

sorry if this has been done to death, i only did a quick scan and didn't see a topic like this, so i appologize in advance if this was started someplace else.. this morning i woke up and thought about where i was last year, and the complete shock i felt at this same time last year...and i was just wondering if any of you had those same feelings this morning.. so where were you?

i always find stories of what people were doing at the time they heard to be really interesting-please share if you'd like.

I was at work meeting with our Legal Department. The attorney's wife called and told him a plane had hit the WT Center. I immediately said out loud "From which country?". Instinct told me right from the beginning it was no accident. We ran to the TV in the Copier Room. As I watched the first Tower crumble, I said "Oh, No-o-o-o. It can't be doing this. There are too many people in there." I was horrified. By the time the third plane hit the Pentagon, I was in tears and said "It's been a long time since Pearl Harbor". I was so stunned and then so @#$% MAD. Still am. But I believe in God, the ultimate Judge.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR ME......

well i went to the cancer clinic yesterday, where i was told not only do i have endometrial cancer, i also have a rare form of it called clear cell cancer.

apparently, it's a very aggressive cancer and has a tendancy to spread towards the lymph nodes.. i was absolutely stunned when then told me this one..........yep, i don't smoke, do drugs, i'm not a drunk and i don't screw around and yet i get cancer.. i really would like to try the gerson therapy clinic in california, but it's $4,900.00 us per week........so with the conversion from canadian dollars, it would be about $8,000/week and i'd need to be there for at least 3 weeks.

anyone have about $25,000 i can borrow?

I feel damaged by my experience

hi to everyone on this board - i have been around reading many of your posts for some time now but have only just felt strong enough to post my own thoughts.

the watchtower has left me with guilty feelings that i find hard to cope with at times.

my story in the "truth" started when i was 18 years old.

Yep...we've all been there. I remember after researching the Net, sitting with my head in my hands, saying "I don't know what I believe in anymore". But you know what? I knew I loved God and Jesus died for our sins so that was enough for the moment and a real good start. I would sort out the rest through research and study in due time ON MY OWN TIMETABLE without the pressure of the Watchtower...THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I am so-o-o-o glad to be out and you will be, too. Joe mentioned one thing that was a final straw was an elder mentioning as a comfort regarding the abused girl "that most girls aren't really affected in such a bad way, that sometimes they enjoy the touching"

What??? Enjoy the touching? Enjoy the touching? Glad he got that comment in which I'm sure went over well with the TV audience. Let's just see how many Silentlambs we have on this board that "enjoyed the touching". My God, they truly have sick and bent minds.

How Much is Shunning Worth?

my jw niece called me last night on the phone.

she is having a pampered chef party (for those of you who don't know what these are, it's like a tupperware party except they cook a meal and sell the cooking stuff).

it is going to be at my jw sister's house and all the dubs will be there....including my "best" friend who ratted me out to my sister regarding us celebrating christmas last year.. i am not invited....but my niece would like me to buy some stuff and to make up for shunning me she is offering to give me her hostess discount....woohoo huh?.
