Very much less judgemental after getting to see the real picture of the organization and deciding to exit. After all, all the standards used by the organization as criteria to judge they hardly follow them and are chief culprit in going against those standards.

There is always a ready made answer to every situation.
What they always miss is the DEGREE as long as the degree can't be stated categorically or precise. There will be enough room to manipulate all these laws or policies set up by the organization.

@Op whatever you choose. I did write and submit my DA letter. Those who received it, were shocked. It was unexpected and the timing was a crazy one too. I stated emphatically, I am disassociating. Just as silentbudha placed it.
Make sure you have your reference copy.
You are just living or leaving by their rules
Whenever I see the words in bold above, when an organization is lawless or carry on lawlessness it is not a way or rule for one to be lawless or carry on lawlessness like them.

Anyone have your local cong. give out papers to say what you can afford to give the cult?
by mickbobcat inback in the late 80s i can remember my local cong.
pass around a paper that had a place for head of house hold name and how much they can afford to give every month for one year.
but i remember the elders said they needed to know what they can bank on to know what they can afford to borrow to remodel ect.

Happens with the congregation I was in while still in. It is always a sorry sad situation because everything lives and die on that paper. The congregation hardly meet up with the resolution despite deciding to pay 1/7 of even what was collated from the paper resolution

Shaming those that live the organization is a way of punishing them.
Their Bible study this past week is all about SHAMING those who live Jehovah.
You have to understand the mindset they carry all over the place. Once they detect that you are tough and firm about your views about the organisation. It will be difficult for them to make you feel bad.

i'm new here, not jw, yet i'm curious if there's anyone out there who has recently converted to jehovah's witness who can give me a better understanding of what brought brought them from point a to b in terms of coming to understand jw theology as truth.

Nothing else other than you being able to undergo the rigorous exercise of brainwashing by saying YES to whatever presented without doubt. Understanding their theology is based on accepting whatever they tell you even when not strategic from human point of view
Like others have said you won't want to be slave of men who will isolate you from all, I mean all by first isolating you from those they call people of the world and from their members when you get disfellowshipped.
