Could this be a pandoras box if more ex-elders made these notes more public ? Or would it be opening up ex-Elders for liability in disclosing this information or even incriminating them in some way ?

Double Standards of the Watchtower

are you aware of any double standards promoted by the organization of jehovah's witnesses?

here a a few i am aware of:.

1. the wts equated joining the ymca with apostasy but felt free to join the un for 10 years (1991-2001).

Jehovah`s Witnesses do not have a clergy class ,however in a Court of law they claim clergy penitent ?

Double standards ? Speaks out of Both Sides of their Mouth ,sums up the Governing body of JW`s to a tee.

And why has Christianity and belief in the Bible lasted so long ? Because its been in the interests of Governments and Religion as a means of controlling the population and manipulating them for their own advantage .

And this is true of governments that tolerate all forms of major Religions in their Countries. Its all about control ,control of the masses .

I can just imagine the hype that is going on in Australia about how close armageddon is now with all of these bushfires occurring.

it brings to mind my niece when she see`s how dry the countryside is ,how armageddon must be so close..

There have been 28 major bushfires in Australia from 1851 to 2013 and up until that time black saturday has been the worst with so many lives lost.

The Black Saturday bushfires were the worst in Australia's history, killing 173 people. Almost 80 communities were directly affected and entire towns were left unrecognisable.

The fires burned more than 2,000 properties and 61 businesses. Almost 430,000 hectares of land were directly affected, including 70 national parks and reserves and more than 3,550 agricultural facilities.

Afterwards the fires were the subject of a Royal Commission.

Black saturday was in Feb.7 2009

If anybody is interested in bushfire in Australia from a historical point of view.you can google this history.

I beleive in this present bushfire season so far ,and its not over yet , more than 1.3 million hectares of land has been burnt. 26 lives lost and in excess of 2000 + homes lost .As of 12/01/2020

adam was told not to eat from the tree of knowledge for upon the very day of eating from it, he would die.

i had someone say that god lied because, adam didn't die that day but, the scriptures say to god a day is as a thousand years so, since adam lived 900+ years after eating , he indeed died within god's view of a day.

methuselah the oldest to ever live 969 years still within god's set time of a day.

Also JT72 , Satan / snake told the truth when he said their eyes would be opened knowing good and bad and in that sense being like God.

What do you say to that ?

The Truth that gives you eternal life

i have a book, it's 8.5 x 11. the cover looks exactly like the old "truth" book, complete with bible embossed on the cover.

What year was this published ? I`m sure the Russellites ,IBSA ,believed all christians would go to heaven ,if I remember correctly they didn`t beleive in an earthly paradise .that came later with nu-light.

The official word as recorded by ABC radio Australia is that only about 1% of fires in Australia have been started by humans /arsonists and the majority of fires are started by { dry?} lightning and thunderstorms with little rain.

True ,is the fact that the greens policys have been a major contributor to the undergrowth that has been allowed to accumulate over the years which has been a major source of fuel that has led to these catastrophic conditions.

More than 2000 homes have been destroyed and to date 20 lives have been lost, and 1.3 million hectares of land has been burned .

We are in a repreive situation at the moment with the cooler conditions here in Victoria but having said that the northern victoria fire has now merged with the NSW fire to become a Megafire in that region.

And we still have to go through the rest of january into febuary which is a high for fires and then into march .

So we still have a long way to go before this is over .

My wife and I vacated for 6 days this last weekend ,hopefully we wont have to do it again .

Despite the negatives some have towards the Government for not doing enough I cant fault them and i`m not political for one party or another ,I think they are doing all they can in providing assistance and help.

Army helicopters are flying past here numerous times during the day giving assistance where its needed .

I think credit should be given when credit is due.

Adam and Eve for that matter would have had no concept of a thousand years being one day ,so they would have in all probability believed what we understand a day meaning.

A thousand years being a day in Gods sight wasn`t brought out till thousands of years later .

So as far as Adam and Eve were concerned God deceived them and the snake satan told the truth.

Simply because they didn`t die in what they would have understood a day to be.

Also Satan / snake told the truth when he said their eyes would be opened knowing good and bad and in that sense being like God.

I think Jehovah god is the bad guy here and Satan has been given a raw deal.

hi everyone, i sure have been getting all kinds of replies by many on here and that's great.

i read all the post even if some don't believe in god at all.

however, i do believe and anything i say on here is from the depths of my belief and knowledge.

You seem to think that all ex JW`s on this forum believe they have a soul distinct from the body .? If so what led you to that conclusion ?
