If the Almighty, Powerful, benevolent God had a book written for humans, what would it contain?

i know for a fact it would not start off with a talking snake, magical fruit, invisible beings that desire beautiful women to have sex with.. and it wouldn’t end with a flying dragon, a two horned lamb, locusts that resembled horses with men’s faces, but with women’s hair and teeth of lions.

and the book wouldn’t allow for hundreds of millions of religions to spurt from it.

i think the first thing a book written by god would have, is that it would be written in a way that all languages could understand without being translated.. regardless of what language you would speak, we could read it and understand what it said.

Maybe it would /should contain some info about the size of the universe and whether their are other life forms out their knowing full well that one day we would be able to get a clearer picture of the magnitude of the universe .

Adam and Eve obviously had no idea of the scale of the "heavens" / Universe ,but we do, that includes galaxy`s ,stars and planets .

In the millions if not billions.?

Help with 1975 please

i answered a question on quora about jw flip flops .

i mentioned, amongst other things , the 1975 debacle.

how witnesses were told that armageddon was coming in the fall of that year.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" .

The WT/JW `s have stated in their publications that this could have taken place millions if not billions of years ago ,they don`t know .

However in their publications eg .the" Paradise lost Paradise Regained" book I think it was in there they stated that it was only when God turned his attention to populating the earth with humans , that the creative days were determined to be 7000 years long .

And not from the beginning of creation in Gen 1:1

And that was because human recorded history only goes back about 6000 years ,and the GB reckoned that it would now be a good time for Jesus Christ to begin his 1000 year reign .

And that`s how they calculated 6000 years back from then which gave them 1975 ,and projected JC reign to go for another 1000 years.

The creative days of 7000 years only applies to when God turned his attention to the earth and making it a paradise for humans .

I hope that clarifies it all somewhat .

If i`m not mistaken and I don`t think I am , every living thing on this earth ,whether its on land , sea, or in the air ,lives by preying on and eating , any and other living thing it can get its teeth into .

And of course that also includes the insect world ,and the world that our human eyes cant see without microscopes.

THAT is the world you and I live in.

That doesn`t sound like a loving God that I want to worship .

A GOD of love ? Rubbish.

Not that I`m a believer anymore but at least I do recognize that other christian faiths do put their money where their mouth is and do charitable things ,and tangible things ,to help people and encourage them and are not afraid to spend money to do so.

In my 32 years as an active JW ,I have never known the organization of JW`s to part with one cent to help or encourage even the most frail and vulnerable loyal R&F member .

Fair enough their has been individuals in the congregations that have done so but never the organization of the WTB&TS / Jehovah`s Witnesses.

my wife and i went to a restaurant we go to a few times a year.

we waited for a bit but not horrible to get our drinks and food.

the place was busy but not people waiting in line for a mile to get in busy.

I wouldn`t go back there again ,did you complain to the management ? maybe sometimes that`s all it takes for the management to give the staff a serve.

And if that didn`t work then find some other place to enjoy a nite out.

He / She would give absolute evidence-- proof He / She existed without having to just have faith that She / He existed .

And such a GOD would not leave humans at the mercy of an opponent of GOD for thousands of years to cause such misery to them.

And not dangle a carrot of hope in them that all in his good time he will do something about it and not before.

I forgot to mention that I had the AZ double jab and will probably get the booster when it is available after 6 months ?

Neither my wife or I had any problems with the AZ dose`s ,and my son and DIL both had the Pfizer double dose and they never experienced any problems either.

Its a pity there is so much confusion and mixed messages about these vaccines out there and I don`t doubt the sincerity of either side of the debate but I guess we all just have to go with our gut feeling and trust our own judgement.

Both sides of the argument claim to have the science on their side .

Did I have concerns about getting the Jab ? yes.

Did I have concerns about not getting the jab .? yes
