  is it genetic?

  i replied to a lesbian on the quora website who tried to state that god destroyed sodom because of the violent rape the people were trying to commit, not because they were homosexuals.

  her argument perperuated so often was that it stated nothing about sex between "two consenting adults".

  but, instead of using the bible scriptures such as a man shall not lay down with another as a woman, i used something else you never hear anyone use.... i told her to look to genesis 6:1-4 .

  the account where the angels in heaven looked down at woman of the earth and desired them so came down and took the form of men and took wives and had wicked children who ruined the earth

  This was always a puzzle to me ,what about you ?

  WTF ? So they had full body functions and were able to produce sperm so as to make a woman pregnant ? Then obviously they had to eat ,drink and shit just like the rest of us, correct ?

  Why didn`t they take on the female form as well as the male form ,then their offspring would have been super heroes..... or not..

  And isn`t this a new creation they have made taking on human form ?

  So the Angels were creators also ?

  Its all so bloody ridiculous ,I don`t know how I ever put faith in the Bible at all .

  I find a lot of scholastic scientific evidence here defending Evolution ,but no such evidence seems to be forthcoming from those who promote a creator`s involvement.

  just to put it out there, the whole gender pronouns idea being pushed by the lgbtq+ minorities is just a way to try to hide the sin of homosexuality.

  if you can void people talking about your true sexual identity then it seems there is no sin anymore if two they or them of the same sex are together.

  example of the coverup: ("i don't identify as either gender"), so the kids i'm raising in a lesbian relationship need not speak of me as a mom or any other female term and we all don't have to feel any stigma attached to the true terms so, any shame we might feel is hidden anyway.

  What was the Overall reaction from the world media ,to the Awake article ,may 22nd 1994 regarding "Youths Who Died Refusing Blood".

  i , and my wife had probably left about 12 months prior to this magazine coming out , and i never at that time had any knowledge of it till many years later when i joined this site.. when i did see it , i was appalled that they could put out such an article , in a magazine they would distribute throughout the world .. to me it smacked of child abuse .

  these were kids , who had no life experiences , who were far too young to make life or death choices of their own , were influenced by religous leaders who had their own agenda , and sadly by family , relatives and freinds who were indoctrinated by a man made religion that has its roots in america in the late 1800`s .. so my question is , did this episode of child abuse go under the radar of mainstream media ?

  did it escape child protection agencies of the time ?.

  Jehovah GOD a failed GOD in many respects.

  isn`t there enough evidence to acknowledge the god of the bible has been a failure ?according to wt / jw teachings ?.

  a god that has supposed to have created the visible universe and everything in it ?.

  some points where i would challenge that from an earthlings point of view using the bible if only in paraphrase.. doesn`t god create everything perfect ?

  My 32 years as a Jehovah`s Witness taught me not to accept the "Bible as the word of God" in blind faith but look at what it actually says and teaches and to research what I thought was the word of God.

  And the only conclusion I could come to was ,it was not.

  surely god could have had a better plan for directing humans than what is outlined in the bible couldn`t he ?.

  right from the start he picks favorites ,not giving cain or abel any clues or directions in how he wanted to be worshiped .. maybe its just me but i would have thought cain`s sacrifice would have been much better than abel`s simply because cains offering was from the" fruits from the ground" but abel`s offering was to sacrifice" some firstling`s of his flock" oh, and lets not forge" their fatty pieces".

  cain offered up the product of the land ,being a cultivator of the land ,while abel was a herder of the sheep and slaughtered one of gods creations.

  What if he had been Impartial and Dealt with People of All Nations Before they Arose on An Equal Basis .?

  Wouldn`t the outcome have been a lot better than it is today ? With only one God one religion in all over the world ?

  Couldn`t / Wouldn`t the world have been a better place to live in now ?

  The reason the world is in the state it is today religious-wise with so many sects and divisions and belief systems IS because the God of the Bible is /was partial and divisive.

  Paddy The Baddy,

  I was brought up as a very young child to believe the Bible was the word of God going to Sunday Schools Church of England /Anglican and Congregational religions ,I stopped going when I became a teenager wanting the week-ends for myself after spending 5 days of schooling.

  It had nothing to do with JW`s I had never heard of them having no interest in religion again until I was contacted by my workmate a now re-turned JW. Re-awakening my earlier beliefs about the Bible.

  I probably stopped believing in Santa clause when I was about 5 or 6 years old.

  I hope that clears up some misunderstanding .
