What did Jesus Teach the "Kingdom of Heaven/God" is?
by truth_b_known inthe books of matthew, mark, luke, john, and the beginning of acts are filled with what the authors purport are statements of jesus.
jesus is quoted as making several statements about "the kingdom of heaven" or "the kingdom of god".
those statements are often given as parables that start with a phrase something like "the kingdom of heaven is like...".

As a 14 year old non JW , left school got a job in a leathergoods business ,did a 5 year apprenticeship ,became converted at 20 years old ,left the job after 12 years and went to work for KODAK in a laboratory. Then got a job interstate with an oil co.for 6 years ,left got another job with another photographic Co,for another 5 years ,and finally got a job with another oil Co,in a laboratory and stayed for 28 years ,until I retired in 2007 @ 68 years old. And i have been retired since then.
There was a couple more jobs before the last one of about a year in each.
One being a very memorable one was with the Australian Reptile Park in Gosford NSW.
Fortunately for me and my wife staying in the last job I had for 28 years left me with enough money to buy my own home.Being a JW was the reason I moved around so much and took so many jobs because the end could come any time soon ,but as i got to about 40 years of age I thought maybe I should be looking at a bit more security until it does come just in case.
I had noted that the GB were not without blame for the 1975 fiasco blaming it solely on the expectations of the R&F.

God vs ET`s ,why is one more probable than the other ?
by smiddy3 inbillions of people around the world beleive in a god of some sort or other who exerts some power or influence to some degree or other in lifes affairs .. i don`t think there would be anywhere near that figure that would entertain the possability of extra terrestial life elsewhere in the universe.. and i find that curious .. the ancients didn`t know that their were other humans on other continents on this planet until they ventured out and found them .. we live somewhere in the milky way galaxy with millions of suns and planets that orbit them.. our galaxy is only one of trillions if not zillions of galaxys in the known universe.. look at the diversity of life on just this one planet earth ,what possabilitys could exist elsewhere ?
on alien worastronomers can use the hubble space telescope to view galaxies near the edge of the observable universe (the region of space from which light has had a chance to reach us within the last 13.77 billion years).
by examining a very tiny portion of the sky, counting up the number of visible galaxies in the universe in that specific region, and then multiplying that number to account for all the regions of the sky, astronomers estimate the number of galaxies in the universe.

I am not questioning here whether or not UFO`s or UAP exists but whether or not in all probability life in one form or another could exist elsewhere in the universe .
Maybe my use of the term ET`s confused people. ET`s doesnt necessarily mean they are a higher intelligence visitors from outer space ,it just means their could be life on other planets somewhere in the universe, from the most basic life form to whatever ?
I hope you can appreciate the difference .
I`m not talking about Aliens visiting planet Earth.

Our galaxy is only one of Trillions if not Zillions of galaxys in the known Universe.

By examining a very tiny portion of the sky, counting up the number of visible galaxies in the universe in that specific region, and then multiplying that number to account for all the regions of the sky, astronomers estimate the number of galaxies in the universe. The best estimate from a 1999 study set that number at about 125 billion galaxies, and a 2013 study indicated that there are 225 billion galaxies in the observable universe. In 2016, that number was upped to 2 trillion, in large part because a new analysis included all the tiny, fluffy galaxies in the early universe.lds ?
If i were a betting man I would put my money on life elsewhere in the universe than there being an Almighty GOD .
Your thoughts ?

Has anyone still in or otherwise heard anything about JWs think we only have 12 months before Armageddon?
by blablabluh ini’ve noticed a change in family attitude recently, like there is just something extra on their mind.
i even had to call my brother to check if he was dying and too scared to tell me.
anyway, i saw a video last night my saying jws think we only have 12 months left before armageddon so thought maybe this is the reason for changes attitude.

I don`t think so as that would mean they have postponed it for 12 months ?
Not only have they been implying if not actually saying it but havent we been living in the last of the last day ? or even the last hours of the last day ?
Its imminent , so very soon , etc, etc.?

Further thoughts on the thread dealing with wandering Jews pooping outside the camp
by Doug Mason ini think the excellent thread on the wandering jews having to defecate outside the camp could have explored further implications, such as animal faeces, and also the fact that when women are in a group they cycle (menstruate) together.
imagine what the place was like with their attitude towards a menstruating woman, or with the disposal of the "rags".how did they dispose of all the placentas, etc.
?where are the skeletons of the millions of people and animals?

It took a lot of lies, ignorance and corruption to create the JWS religion and the results were ?
by Rocketman123 inlooking back at the jws religion and all what it did to people who joined the results are not very becoming, one might even say regretfully harmful.
here of some things of which i'm thinking about ........ first on the list has to be the thousands of people to date that refused a blood transfusion and died in doing so.. the people that have committed suicide indirectly caused by the jws df social restrictions and other reasons.. all the time wasted distributing the wts literature door to door, only to realize the doctrines the wts (gb) heads created were false and misleading.. all the marriages by young people which were enforced due to strict sexaul behavior, only to end up in divorce for incompatibility reasons.. all the families that have broken up over the decades because of the jws religoius convictions.. all the young teenagers who were persuaded to not obtain higher education because the end is so near.. all the social relationships that could have been fulfilling and good but were halted because someone wasn't a jws.. all the money people gave the wts.
some giving their entire inheritance to the organization which ended up being full of deceit and corruption after all.. .

It funneled people to the TRUTH from the Bible,
Truthmatters, can you please tell me explicitly , what "Truth`s" from the Bible you are referring to ?
I`m a little confused by your comments so far .Correct me if I am wrong.
You seem to beleive JW`s have the "Truth" ,yet you have problems with some of their beleifs / interpretations of the Bible ? and some of their practices ? right ?
So what "Truths" from the Bible are you talking about ? And can you be a bit more specific ? as to what they are ?
I am genuinely interested in your answers .
