well known norway elder and watchtower doctrine apologist, (rolf furuli) was disfellowshipped a few days ago for the crime of expressing opinions contrary to some watchtower dictates.. like wt leadership in the past, they have no problem eating their own..

Old people who have invested there lives in the organization / religion will die in the religion .I`ts been indoctrinated into them ",where else can they go ?"

The younger generation today being born in`s are no different to any other born in`s to a religion ,that`s all they know ,I was brought up a JW I`ll die a JW. / I was raised a Catholic I`ll die a Catholic.

I`ll wager that there are very few young JW`s if any who could defend the religions doctrines using the Bible.?

They are not interested in doctrines.And they are now not taught in any meaningful way how to defend their faith.

Disfellowhipped for not wearing facemask?

yup - person has done nothing wrong.

but they have called a judicial and from what i can tell refusing to wear a facemask is bothering them more than the person not turning up.. so is this new light?

if you have been called to a judical please remember to stay safe and wear your personal protective equimpment.

Who are the Elders to dictate to a person to attend a judicial committee and also to dictate they wear a mask ?

Finding a mate

so here i am 44 yr old divorced and free to remarry jw sister....first time single since i was 19. but guess what no single brothers in my area.

i’ve tried those stupid jw dating sites and still no luck.

oh yes there are tons of single brothers, but guess what...they all expect a hot barbie to come running into their life.

for many years i have sought to understand how the bible was put together.. thus my name on here.

i started out more or less in line with what many schoolars felt in both old and new testament studies and over the year my notes have flucuated with dates and probable authorship.

a few years ago i slid into minimalist or copenhagen school understanding of the texs but still retained a slight historicity of the prophets.

As has been said before history is written by the victors and maybe just maybe the Israelite's / Jews were wannabe victors.

I think that just about sums up the whole WT/Jehovah`s Witness religion right there.

Sorry Missmary but I have been married for 58 years to a wonderfull woman who I converted to the JW religion while dating her .I had only converted a year before that also as a 19 year old.

We both discovered after 32 years in the religion we were deluded by an American man made religion that was a real Estate Publishing Empire that we were volunteers for .

I wish you luck in finding a mate but please believe me there are really decent good men outside of that religion.

i belong to a group (best description that i can think of) that specialises in sharing academic papers.

ok, sometimes that provides me with all kinds of interesting material pertinent to my research interests.

but, sometimes, (and since i have not read all of it, i'm assuming its fair dinkum, genuine research) something turns up (not among my usual research interests) that blows my simple brain.. anyway, after a brief examination, my conclusion is this: i think charlie russell would have gone gaga over this research.. the author has named his paper, .

Cremation is a non Christian practice so why is it ok?

the point is they use the same type of reasoning as to why we can't do other things such as birthdays.

I am an organ donor so hopefully parts of me will live on after I am gone and help someone in need .

They can do what they like with the rest of my body as I wont have any need for it.

And as has been brought out they cherry pick what they want to accept and what they want to highlight and what they choose to ignore in the Bible.
