Pardon my ignorance slim ,but who are James Pellechia and Jolene Chu ? And why does it surprise you they gave an interview to Lawson ?
Are they somebodys in the JW Organization ?
this is one of the most recent academic papers on jw demographics.
it analyzes official membership statistics of the three churches, compares them with census data and provides estimated global figures (9-10 million mormons, 17 million witnesses, and 28 million adventists - all are self-identified adherents, not necessarily active ones).
i think this is a good research though some aspects of the subject remain unexplored.. this article compares the growth of three religious groups, the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, seventh-day adventists, and jehovah’s witnesses.

f. w. franz "times in which we are particularly interested" may 11, 1975. ;introduced by kenneth a. little, a much younger man than now for sure.. the clip is 8 minutes.. unfortunately, some idiot recorded over part of this day many years ago.
i am hoping to find another copy in the box..
To put it into more perspective slim ,we here in Australia never heard Fred Fraz give any talks that I can remember and I was JW from 1960 onwards .
Talks were always given mainly by Australian brothers from Bethel when it was a District assembly or an International convention .I remember L .Barry ,Henschell ,,I don`t think I ever heard Knorr ever give a talk either.
They were purely for the American audiences or maybe even Europe ,probably Australia didn`t count for much in those days..
Thats the way I remember it anyway .
i have been thinking about the legal departments that look after the wts interests around the world.i can`t believe these legal eagles offer their services on a voluntary basis like the r&f do.and i don`t believe their services would come cheap.. as an organization the size of jw.org and its offshoots of companys and interests around the world ,the cost of keeping them gainfully employed must amount to a considerable sum of money.. especially the law suits against them with child abuse court cases that arise on a regular basis ,and the government inquiry`s into the jw religion that is happening in different countries now.. all paid for by the voluntary contributions that come from the r&f for the worldwide preaching work .. contributions to pay for the wt organization`s legal department to defend themselves in court ?.
did jesus and the apostles pay lawyers to defend them in a court of law with funds donated by their supporters ?.
When we look at the legal representation they used in Australia to defend themselves it was a mixture, wasn't it?
I would reccomend anyone who has not watched the videos concerning the JW`s in this case. I urge you to do so ,especially the newbies here ,it is an eye opener ,
With certain members ,Elders giving tetimony and waiting for the "Spirit" to put words in their mouths ,words that never came .Matt.10:18-20.
The ARC ,case number 29 and case number 54,with Geoffrey Jackson the Australian GB member ,vin Toole the jw lawyer and the Elders that were called upon to testify.
i did this in my facebook group for my podcast and it was fun.. so what's the craziest thing you ever saw?.
for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.
i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.
A brother of a sister used to come to the meetings with her ,they were both middle aged and he was prone to fits being an epilectic ,but not baptised .
He started having a fit during the meeting they managed to get him to the back of the hall where he was lying down having this fit and the meeting was only partially interrupted ,and then continued on while he was being attended to.
Certainly not a normal thing to under the circumstances. But lets face it and be honest.
When we were Jehovah`s Witnesses we were not normal people .
hi guys,.
it's been a while since i posted here, but i feel like posting again.. it's hard sometimes to find the energy to post here after i expend all my time working a full time job and pretending i care about the wt$ at the same time.. i've been trying to slowly wake my girlfriend up ever since i first posted here, and i must say it is a long waiting game that i am playing right now.
almost all my efforts are dismissed and i've been slowly losing hope.. anyways, what i meant to really post here today is about old publications.. honestly anything that has to do with the watchtower and jdubs, as of recently makes me feel like vomiting.
A few years back i was in charge of an Opportunity Shop that the senior Citizens ran in this town where we take in goods that nobody wants anymore and sell them cheaply to whoever wants them .
All run by volunteers on a roster.
One time back a few years ago now ,we received about a dozen WT video`s ,when i wasn`t present apparently it was family cleaning out an estate when a relative had died .
We made sure they went in to the rubbish / trash bin and not the recycled bin.
None of the people I have made friends with here after 14 years living in this town know of my JW past .
The subject has never really come up and its not something I would boast about LOL

And 1975 wasn`t the first time the "Bible Students" as they were then known set a date for the end of 6,000 years of human history.
They actually had the late 1800`s the first time they claimed 6,000 years had ended.
As regards that clip lms ,I thought freddie waffled on a bit ,though the WT can`t deny they heightened expectations about the big A coming in 1975 .
i was a witness from grade school ( 1976) until 2007. i seem to remember an important aspect that was always talked about at the hall as being a fact.they would say that "the rocks themselves would cry out" if the public preaching work was to stop,,,,, all i've seen and heard these past few months are the witnesses complaining about the witnessing work coming to a halt.but i've not heard one rock crying .. .
.
.
Matt.24:12 " because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off."
Micah 4: 1 In the final part of the day's
"The mountain of the house of Jehovah will be firmly established"
And to it people's will STREAM.
Zech.8: 23 " It will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold, yes they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a jew saying,We will go with you people for we have heard that God is with you people.""
Luke 17: 26-27 When ony 8 souls were saved when God delivered Noah and his family.
And as for the rocks of archaeology proving the Bible true I think that the lack of findings where they should have been found proves the Bible stories to be just that,.stories .
There should have been an abundance of evidence of the Israelites wandering about in the wilderness for 40 years after leaving Egypt ,but there is nothing ,zero, zilch. All of the older men were supposed to have died off in that period of time ,and not a bone to be found.

As an organization the size of JW.Org and its offshoots of Companys and interests around the world ,the cost of keeping them gainfully employed must amount to a considerable sum of money.
Especially the law Suits against them with child abuse court cases that arise on a regular basis ,and the Government Inquiry`s into the JW religion that is happening in different countries now.
All paid for by the voluntary contributions that come from the R&F for the worldwide preaching work .
Contributions to pay for the WT organization`s Legal Department to defend themselves in court ?

when they come to your door knocking... the best way to preach back is.... handing them a comic book when they hand you a watchtower magazine..
How about "The Invisible Man" he could get away with doing whatever he wanted to ,much like God.
i have noticed that the foolishness of jephthah's vow to sacrifice his daughter gets bandied around a lot as somehow approved of by god.
i never could understand how people could come to this conclusion.
if i wrote about something terrible that my son had done, that doesn't mean that i am for that thing.
You gotta love the Bible you can read into it anything you want .Thanks Sea Breeze .
Apparently Jephthah went to pieces after this..... literally. LOL
