  for many years the government of mexico did not allow religious organizations to own property.

  any property used by a religious organization was confiscated by the government.

  this law changed in the mid 1990's.

  I remember this ,they claimed they were a cultural organization and not a religion and as you correctly say if they honestly identified themselves as a religion the Govt. would have confiscated their property ,because only the Catholic Church in Mexico could own their own property and not any other religion.

  And when the govt.did change their policy about other religions being able to own their own property the G.B.of JW`s lyingly said it was because of their activities and pressure on the Govt.that religious freedom was now given because of them.

  ,they claimed they were a cultural organization and not a religion, they lie and justify it by claiming it is theocratic warfare.

  How many other things are they prepared to lie about ,? if they blatantly lie to the Governments ,they sure as hell have no scruples about lying to the rank and file Jehovah`s Witnesses and feel justified in doing so.

  What scripture or scriptures did the cult use to imply animals vegetarian?

  I believe it was the scriptures in Genesis Chap.1; 29-31 where God gave them, man and beast "all green vegetation for food" and only after the flood did he permit them to eat animals for obvious reasons.

  Welcome to the forum ,their are some amazing people here with a lot of insight on how the JW religion operates and controls people and are very subtle about it. .

  I`m looking forward to it myself as I`m sure many others here are also looking forward to it.

  I hope it lives up to what we expect.

  The thought of imperfect human beings ruling with JC makes me shudder ,especially when we have so much information at our disposal now how they treat the flock.

  When I think about it if Jesus who lived here on earth for 30 years of his life and being perfect why in the world would he need or benefit from having 144000 dickheads ruling with him .?

  It just doesn`t make any sense at all.

  I had to submit to a drugs test yesterday.

  i had to submit to a random work place drugs test yesterday, of which i passed.

  in this country smoking marijuana / methamphetamine is illegal.

  the thing that really struck me was that despite the illegal nature of it, was just how prevalent and problem is.

  Here in the state of Victoria Australia the alcohol limit is .05 over that and you can be prosecuted if in charge of a vehicle.

  Pardon my ignorance but are their limits as to how much drugs are in your system / eg a safe limit and a no-go limit ?

  Just curious .

  Is that anything to boast about ? Bible societys have been around for God knows how long centuries ? and have been distributing the Bible and sections of the bible in so many different languages all over the world .

  What are they crowing about ?

  I suspect they are preaching to the converted here in as much as those who are taking advantage of these are for the most part already JW`s .

  JWs are right about the divine name and no war.

  In the first edition of the "Aid book" they admitted that the name Jehovah was not the correct pronunciation of the Divine name ,however that was the most popular name in christendom.

  So that is why they adopted it.

  And they certainly agree with the "war of the great day of God the Almighty .Jw`s are not pacifists and I know you never implied they were SBF ,however I`m just clarifying the situation.

  JW`s early Watchtower magazine under Russell may well have been with the heading " Zions Watchtower and Herald of Christs Presence" where they gave due dilligence to the role Jesus had in Gods purpose ,however after Russells death the emphasis went on to Jehovah.

  And nowhere in the C.G.Scriptures , the New testament are followers of Jesus Christ instructed to be witnesses of Jehovah ,yet there are many scriptures whereby they are instructed to be witnesses of Jesus.

  i`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .

  and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .

  Jehovah`s Witnesses claim to be the only religion that strictly follows the Bible and that they are a Bible based religion , correct ?

  The Bible gives clear direction on how to baptize a person wanting to be a Christian . Matthew 28: 19,20.

  " Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the holy spirit " etc,etc.

  Do the GB / JW`s do that ? No.

  They do not follow the bible example on such an important point of becoming a Christian, a disciple of Jesus according to the scriptures.

  In which to gain God`s favor .
