philipines disaster news up on jw.org
by Captain Blithering inhttp://www.jw.org/en/news/
wouldn't it be nice if they said 'you know what, we've made millions in property sales recently, lets donate a couple million to a philipines relief fund..'
ten vans full, probably just for jw's.

So Emeth, why are Jws more deserving of being helped in the event of a natural disaster? Are Jws better humans? Do you think its better for you and your goal of getting into the 'kingdom'? Will you score brownie points by helping a JW first?
Love thy neighbour, but only if he's one of us? And here's me thinking that your bible said 'in gods eyes, all men are equal'.

Emeth - "first things first, and that is our brotherhood and people who have chosen to be part of that international brotherhood and household of God"
So the good samaritan story means nothing to you?
If you were there and you noticed a man or woman bloody and battered crying out for help, you're telling me you would first ask them if they are JW's? And if they weren't?
Walk on by???????????????????

ILTTATT. Is this your life? Do you own it? Are you responsible for you? Are you responsible for every action and decision?

Are YOU In A Good Place At This Point In Your Life?

If just one thread still keeps you attached to the borg somehow, like a relative who is a jw, then you can never realy feel normal. They are the constant reminder of wasted years. If you are activly trying to get them out, its worse as the frustrations wear you down. Only when every member of your household, friends, relatives are out can you start to feel normal. Even then its takes a long time to realize you do feel normal...after all, what is normal? How can we know how we are supposed to be? Who are we? What should we have been like without the cult damaging us every day?
We will never be normal! This stoopid cult is seared into our brain...

A new start? Watchtower renaming at HQ Columbia Heights
by Gorbatchov infriends,.
who was in any doubt that our jw believe is a marketing model, see this pictures of the still existing hq of jw at columbia heights.. earlier comments on jwn that something is going to change in the organisation, these comments are true.. in a few years we will not talk about the watchtower society, we wil talk about jw.org.
i think the current leadership will make a transfer to a new start.

The murmuring phase is the beginning of an ex-JWs progression towards fading.
by Stand for Pure Worship ini suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.
i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.
(rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.

SFPW, hi! I,ve not had chance to post much lately, but I do enjoy your posts. Can you answer a question for me? I have just read Jude and I cant seem to see where it says 'governing body'. Can you help me out?
Cheers!

This was the first thing my dad stopped doing. If he gets asked for his hours now, he tells them to put down what they want. Its a young elder that does the rounds, so he's probably scared to come back with nothing.

"Doing" his watchtower every week is one of the last strings my Dad has connected to the borg. Your resilience and hard work mean that I can point out the real meanings behind these programming pamphlets. It really really helps him to open his eyes.
I just hope the sick bucket is a big one! Much respect Blondie!
