  What Do You Think Of Fining People For Not Wearing A Mask?

  some towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.

  starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.

  of course some governors are recommending that you rat out anyone that doesn’t follow their orders.. i don’t like it!👎🏿.

  Cofty is right, a mask is really limited in how it can protect you, it actually takes training, practice and dedication to make it work properly. These medical professionals take the quarantine and protection to a different level that most ordinary folk can never attain to, certainly not by just wearing a mask. When working with highly infectious disease outbreaks there is more education needed even for the experienced doctors in these regards.

  It would seem silly that any person could be afforded the same protection as a trained medical professional by just wearing a mask, that protection comes with a host of other stringent conditions and procedures

  The Fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity

  ever since i came out of the witnesses, i've become very political.. i've heard lots of arguments back and forth for many things.. in the u.s. there is the argument that it is "racist" to want to deny entry to muslims.

  while there is freedom of religion, there is also the very valid concern of maintaining democracy and a justice system that is based on modern values.we as exjw's constantly quote the pew center for statistics on jw's such as: they are last place in the us for members of a religion that go to university, and second-last for poverty levels of members of a religion.

  we accept those statistics and mention them as proof of how damaging the jw's are.now, let's use the same center for some very scary statistics on islam:http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/07/22/muslims-and-islam-key-findings-in-the-u-s-and-around-the-world/.

  I dont think religion is something to fight about
  

  The fighting and killing is condoned if not encouraged by the Quran and Islam, that’s the simple point being lost on you.

  Islam is just really silly, it’s a stupid set of ideas based on some ridiculous stories, Christianity also, but don’t kid yourself.

  Anyone who has the internet can easily find Muslims committing horrendous crimes in the name of Allah, the internet is full of it, IS made a religion out of it. I haven’t seen the vids with heads rolling while the crowds chant “Jesus is great!”

  That’s because there are none, the internet wasn’t around when Christianity was a kid, it grew up some time ago in a world before the internet. I do believe we have some photos of it being naughty though..

  US Letter Read Sunday 4/26 at Meeting - No KH Use and No Field Service Indefinitely

  there was a letter read sunday at our meeting that mentioned some parts of us are starting to open back up.

  however, regardless of things opening up that no kingdom halls should be used for any meetings of any kind.

  also, no door-to-door ministry or any form of in-person ministry is allowed.

  Let the KH fire sales begin! I’d be surprised if the WTS doesn’t use this crisis to cash in assets.

  The sheep wouldn’t blink, the WTS has cash flow problems they’ve been running a broke model for decades now.

  Given their own prophecy is that human governments will go after religions for $ , they could easily argue it’s a wise time to unload given the GT is imminent and the big A is just around the corner. The GB already proclaimed so eloquently we’re in the last part of the final part of the last day of the final days before the very end of the end times

  Seriously though, very hard to avoid Chinese manufacturing. If you’re buying a new power tool for example it’s very hard to go pass the bang for buck of the Chinese brands. You may be happy to spend a little extra getting the USA or German brand, so you get a Milwaukee or Bosch...still made in China. So it’s a quagmire out there.

  Hand tools are the main type required in my trade and this is where USA manufacturing stands alone, virtually everything I need and use is made USA. I also highly rate Japanese manufacturing, particularly Japanese hand tools can be very excellent quality.

  Excuse me now, I have a bat casserole in the oven

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  The WHO is supporting the reopening of Chinese wet markets, apparently it creates essential employment.

  We’ve already been condemned for another SARS, MERS or Covid20 outbreak, only next time it’s potentially far worse.

  We should thank the WHO for their wisdom and courageous leadership

  USAF Thunderbirds

  so awesome - the usaf thunderbirds just did a fly over the las vegas valley starting at nellis air force base all the way to boulder dam, boulder city, nv, in tribute and honoring the covid 19 healthcare workers/responders.

  so amazing - we were in the backyard and could hear the engines long before any sight of them.

  they flew over summerlin, spring valley - over couple hospitals and back over my house - circling on to the las vegas strip, henderson then boulder dam - back to nellis.

  Drink and Zoom, No Smell No Tell

  i’ve been at work with some jws over the last week.. i was conversing with one jw elder who mentioned having a couple of drinks after work, on the evening of a zoom meeting.

  he said he never drinks before a meeting, but did this occasion.

  this jw is not a heavy drinker, he’s very moderate compared to most.. this got me thinking about the other jws i use to associate with, who were actually drinkers, blokes that would drink 8+ beers, when it’s gone out comes the scotch or vodka.. i think they’ll be counting the sober bro’s on one hand at these meetings.

  This got me thinking about the other JWs I use to associate with, who were actually drinkers, blokes that would drink 8+ beers, when it’s gone out comes the scotch or vodka.

  I think they’ll be counting the sober bro’s on one hand at these meetings.

  The temptation to get on the grog before zoom meetings will unbearable for many. It might start as one or two before the meeting, that could escalate.

  This might never happen, it could be 100% sobriety but I doubt it. Plenty will realise they can now get away with it, no smell no tell
