  Ladies, How Big Is Your Diamond Engagement Ring?

  i notice a trend that suggests that many ladies either have a one carat or bigger diamond ring or much smaller if any.. do you have a diamond ring and if you do, what size carat is it?

  First wife's (JW) ring had a 2.25ct round center stone with two gold bands with smaller diamonds flanking it. (Didn't get that in the divorce)

  Second wife has a 1.75ct round center stone on a wide band with smaller diamonds around it.

  I purchased both used for about 75% to 80% off retail. I would never buy diamonds retail. They don't wear out as long as they are not chipped or cracked. Buy a used one that you like and have it remounted on a new ring.

  Personally, I would prefer a smaller stone with better color & sparkel than a larger off color stone.

  Don't understand why anyone would pay for a chocolate or colored diamond, but to each their own.

  If someone has sexualy abused a child, the holy spirit will make them say 'yes' when that question is asked?

  However, if the man would have jumped leading to his death, he could have been resurected in the new system.

  Now that the JWs talked him out of jumping, if he now does not become a member of that religion, he will be killed by god during the big A.

  Most likely the JW saved him from killing himself only to have god kill him later. I'm not sure that is something to be proud of?

  Unstop: You sound like a great guy with much concern for the unborn. May I suggest that you channel that good will with wanting to help the helpless and give a go at being a foster parent? There is a great need in your area for folks to step up and care for already born children in need. This is something you can do today, sign up and you will have a child to care for before the ink on your background check is dry.

  After foster parenting for several years and going to support groups for other foster parents, I am convinced that many of these children who were abused and neglected by their parents would have been better off not being born at all. They are so screwed up menatally and emotionally from such a young age that they have almost no chance to live a normal life, even when placed with others who do not abuse or neglect.

  Why are so many christains so hell bent on stopping other people from their right to choose, yet we have thousands of children already alive in foster care waiting for someone to adopt them? If a christain really wants to help the helpless, there are plenty of already born children who need your help!

  What does your congregation do to help someone suffering from drug addiction? Do they open the doors to help these ones by hosting NA meetings? How does your basic form of christianity help people who are struggeling with addiction?

  Oh that's right, you kick em while their down, kick them out and cut them off from support that may be crucial to recovery. Yeah, christianity alive and well!

  Unstop: you see a painting you know it was painted by a painter. if you see creation you know it was created by a creator.

  What do these painters have in common? They are all DEAD!

  Could it be possible that if there was a creator.... billions of years ago.... that it is now dead also? Why do creationists just assume that the creator would continue to live forever when nothing else in the universe does?

  Maintaining Faith In God As An Ex-JW

  as i fade further from the jws, i'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain faith in god.

  i've been exploring many alternatives from atheism, agnostic, apathetic, pagan, and satanism (not devil worship, but the promotion of self-indulgence) to name a few.

  i'm thoroughly intrigued to learn how those of you who remained christian managed to maintain your faith in god and christ, especially after enduring all the lies that we've been told about them.
