Excellent posts describing how LLoyd had arrived at this point.

To me, Lloyd is a man completely lacking a conscience.

Yet he defiantly tells us he is 'a good man'.

His sexuality has been tampered with due to the policy on masturbation etc???

Goodness, as a signed up jw for most of my life I have been under the wt's rule of law on masterbation,oral sex etc etc too.

..Has it damaged me or tampered with my sexuality??

As I look back through my love life with former girlfriends and my wife from the jw community, I would say I have managed to 'hold on to my sexuality'..

Some partners of mine have had different requirements in the oral area. The ones you would presume to be demure and timid often surprise you the most.

None have ever requested we 'check with the elders' or the wt society before we got down to it.

So I don't buy LLoyd's argument that the policy on masturbation and other sexual practises have pushed him over the edge.

As Lionel Richie rightly sang in his song 'Penny Lover':

with what is arguably the biggest change to jw life in recent decades (the scrapping of publishers counting hours) what does this lead to?.

in my mind these are the results;.

1) a massive decrease in 'preaching hours'.

Yes, what happens next?

I've wondered (as has been discussed here) if the watchtower's plan is to quietly wind the jw religion right down to just an online religion

1.The first step, sell as many kingdom halls as possible leaving a skeleton selection of halls.

2. Get as many donations on a regular basis from the remaining kingdom halls publishers.

3.Decrease the regular and auxiliary pioneer hour requirement.

4.Reduce the circuit overseers visit to just a couple of days

5.Get rid of district overseers completely.

6.Lay off as many at bethel worldwide as possible.

7.Reduce the meetings to mainly just watching prepared videos.

8.Remove the requirement to count time and submit a monthly report.

9.Allow brothers to have a beard.

10.Cart witnessing replaces door to door work.

11.Electronic books and magazines and the jw website heavily promoted.

12.Stop printing the wt and awake and release just a few copies a year - or rehash older copies for the public.

Yes the jw chariot is certainly on the move,,,

i spotted 2 of the nicer elders in the congregation walking up the drive.

i didn’t answer the door.

Please don't think I'm being cynical, but sometimes it seems the elders only want to visit/shepherd you when they suspect you may have 'gone rogue'/apostate!! 😉😉😉

The Governing Body - Both sides of their coin

how many can you think of.... they speak for god.. it would seem presumptuous to say they speak for god,.

they are neither inspired nor infallible.. they are god's only channel for issuing truth here on earth.

they won't be apologising for any errors/falsehoods they have promoted in the past that fail.. congregation members must be quick and apologise for their errors to avoid harsh discipline/disfellowshipping.. when they change a major belief/doctrine you must not complain or criticise them.

Leaving update

just to give you guys an update on mine and my son’s exit from the matrix.

my son put on his instagram page he was no longer a jw and wished everyone a merry christmas.

🎄💥😳the blocks/unfollows came thick and fast.

Yes, I have faded successfully.

I have fun blanking the ones who made my jw life absolute hell, and warmly greeting the ones I have time for.

Two elders who were so abominably cruel to me and my family looked like they were going to burst into tears when I completely blanked them when they tried to say hello to me.

The same two men literally hounded and persecuted so many families out of the congregation that they had taken a personal dislike to.

I would say many of these 'hardline' elders can dish it out , but they go to jelly when they are ignored.

This is just the way I have done it of course.

But everyone's exit from the jw cult must be what is right for them personally
