Lloyd Evans Patreoff Pool - November 2023

let's get the fun started and put in our votes for how far down the pumpkin patch lord of the fries will fall in november.. for those keeping score, last month he started at 457 patrons, did some begging and managed to bump those numbers up to 478, but as of this writing he's down to 439.. so, how well do you think the grift will continue this month?

let us know where you think he'll be on november 2. lucky number 420?

will he drop back down below 400?

What Happened to 2034?

some years ago the wt started putting it out there that noah took 120 years to build the ark, and since the wt was the new ark, it may allow them up to 2034 (1914 + 120) before armageddon.

it could have been their new 1975 to get excited about, but i don't see any mention of it at all now.

what happened during the two decades since last i observed anything about the wt?.

Here's what Ray Franz wrote in his second book:

In a little more than a decade, the only persons born on or before
1914 will be those who are centenarians. As documented in
Crisis of Conscience, despite the confident-sounding statements in
Watch Tower publications, a considerable number of Governing
Body members had long recognized that the traditional teaching
about “this generation” was proving more and more tenuous.
There is no other explanation for the fact that in 1980 the members
of the Chairman’s Committee drew up and presented a document
which, if its reasoning had been accepted, would have placed
the start of “this generation”—not in 1914—but in 1957, when the
Soviet Union launched its first Sputnik!
Finally the teaching became so obviously untenable that a major
change in the definition of “this generation” was made, applying it to
“the peoples of earth who see the sign of Christ's presence but fail to
mend their ways.” The time factor thereby virtually disappears!
A similar pattern of shifting definitions can be found in the
Watch Tower publications’ efforts at fixing 1914 as the time when
a unique worldwide “sign” appeared, related to war, famine, earthquake
and pestilence.

the gb raise questions then talk about it, unless it’s unanimous they wait, then years later talk again if it’s unanimous it then gets announced as new light.. 2. the gb are imperfect and sometimes make mistakes.

they are not to apologise or even admit they were wrong.

When there is a rough-edged grumpy elder who is mean to you, I think it's easier to deal with..

Had one in my old hall. Had been in the army and was a total, utter bully.

Offered to fight me away from the others when we were working on a quickbuild and I had in some way annoyed him.

I readily accepted as I could not take any more of him - he then amazingly climbed down and apologised and we had an uneasy sort of truce between each other after that..

I'd ask for the court to force him to post a retraction on his Patreon page for public and all tiers, acknowledging that his case was dismissed and an apology to all those he had slandered as criminals. Make him name them one by one.

I’m not sure what this means!

yesterday i was visited by 2 witnesses, and we had a long chat about lots of things!

one of them named claire took the lead and i instantly felt some sort of connection to her, after we had spoken and they had left i started to have this overwhelming feeling to research her and what she had spoken about but i couldn’t find her anywhere on any website or social media, so i left it and thought nothing more of it all day….

however the strange thing is i had a dream that night and claire was in it, many things happened in this dream that i was told i was only allowed to speak about with claire, i can speak of the dream to others but the details only me and claire can know!

This Generation/ 1975

i was born in 1977 & came in as a convert in 2003 --- so i have no idea what went on before my time.. however i have been familiar with the scriptures of "nobody knows the day or hour" & " it will come as a theif in the night" meaning that it was sure but unpredictable time.

how could anyone belive that anyone else ( organization or not) put a date on it?.

also what was the significance of 1975 anyway?

1975 was very real to JWs at the time. And their literature had references to that date. The GB has since learnt to only imply dates and never to put a date in writing. 1914 itself has all but fallen by the wayside; they hardly reference it anymore.

I was surprised to see this today about 1914 on their website - still it did provide detailed scriptural proof for their 1914 belief...(one scripture)
