  my computer-support service has checked my computer because it's been rather "glitchy" lately, and the hard drive is failing.... so, i'll end up being cut-off from the board, for a while.... some of you have my personal phone number, if you need to get in touch.... **********************************************************************.

  here's something else that's been bothering me.... we're going to fly out to see the in-laws soon - and i'm very uneasy about flying.... if something should happen to me, could you people please help find good homes for my animals???

  they are all indoors animals, have been spayed/neutered, and are pretty good with dogs.... there are six cats - the seventh one, minx, will have to be "put down", as she is slowly dying of feline leukemia, and is far too "high-maintenance" for anyone else to care for.... but there's chomper - a neutered male, six-toed cat, somewhat feral but ferociously loyal to anyone who will be patient with him - and feed him wet food... he's a big, short-haired grey-and-black tabby... unfortunately, in the process of the hard-drive decay, my computer no longer recognizes my crappy printer, and so i can't load a pix of chomper... but he's a big cutie!!.

  What is it with cats and electrical cords? My daughters cat chewed through one of their Christmas tree light cords..luckily it was unplugged as a precaution while they were asleep.

  Her kitty is also Tiger Lily..

  More and more shunning going on?

  is it just me or does it seem like there are more posts about shunning than usual?.

  i take it that between the ex jw's and the internet the jw's are having a hard time holding on to their people.

  of course they don't want their people anywhere around someone that might wise them up to what the jw's are doing to them..striving to keep them as isolated as possible.. if that isn't a cult i don't know what is.. i feel so sad for family member that are going throught this and unable to be with their loved ones because of some idiot religion that seems to appeal to some ..it must fulfill some need in their life.

  My dad and I used to share a cheese Chef Boy ar dee pizza that he had just made when I would come home from a date..My mom and my brother would be sleeping. He worked 3-11 at that time.

  i take it that between the ex jw's and the internet the jw's are having a hard time holding on to their people.

  of course they don't want their people anywhere around someone that might wise them up to what the jw's are doing to them..striving to keep them as isolated as possible.. if that isn't a cult i don't know what is.. i feel so sad for family member that are going throught this and unable to be with their loved ones because of some idiot religion that seems to appeal to some ..it must fulfill some need in their life.

  Viola I can't tell you how nice and peaceful my life has been since hubby passed away.I loved him so much but the daily JW talk (condemning everyone that wasn't one of them!) was starting to affect me emotionally..especially when his Mom was around (also a JW).

  I just feel so bad for those that are going through it..I know how it hurts.

  If that isn't a cult I don't know what is.

  I feel so sad for family member that are going throught this and unable to be with their loved ones because of some idiot religion that seems to appeal to some ..it must fulfill some need in their life. Either that are they are too afraid to leave for fear of isolation from their loved ones or death by their so called "loving" god.

  Why do we even bother. It seemed like I was butting my head against the wall with my hubby and his mom. Ask a question and they look at you and either say "I don't know " and change the subject or tell you they have faith..(Blind faith).

  It's frustrating I know..just wanted to let those know that my heart goes out to them and hope someday their loved ones will come around and find the strength to leave the controlling organization. I refuse to ever refer to it as "The Truth" or even a religion really..

  Counseling and a polygraph...

  No one knows what is going through her mind and in order for you to both put this past you and move on you will need counseling and a pledge to not do it again..she needs to get a separation or divorce if she can't control herself..it isn't fair to you.

  She apparently isn't happy with the arrangement she has and is looking elsewhere for something she is lacking at home. (Not saying you are doing anything wrong)

  And it sounds to me like you are making excuses and trying to make it "look" like you aren't suspicious of her and you trust your wife..it may come accross that way to her also. It sounds like you don't trust her. (With good reason)

  Jus my 2 cents worth..

  Snoozy..Married for 35 years and been through it all.

  I also wanted to add that I recommend a counselor because too often the husband and wife end up in a blaming game..instead of a sharing of needs.

  i would like to share an experience with you about drinking and driving.

  as you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.. .

  well, over the weekend my friend & i attended a christmas party & knowing full well we may have been over the limit, i decided to do something i've never done before - take a bus home!.

  It's true! Just put a piece of cake in front of an overeater or a bottle of beer in front of an alcoholic..

  Out of sight out of mind.

  The more you see the more you want.

  It's called an addiction..

  There is also a big difference between having sex and making love..and I can see how some would say it (porn)could make you a selfish lover.

  I think many just settle for sex because they can't find love..

  I also believe the bible got at least that one thing right..moderation in all things is the way to go.
