There is a point at which they will have committed sufficiently to "the end is here" that they will not be able to walk it back. I hope this leads a lot of die-hards to realize that they are being fed a line, and maybe some of them will reconnect with shunned family and seek out a faith that doesn't demand that they be bad people.

Is WT Influencing Dubs To Check On Other Dubs' Activities Via ZOOM And Otherwise?
by HiddlesWife inthe reason for my question is because one pimo has noticed that there are some pimis--particularly spimis--who have remarked that they "are not going to contact nor associate with the friends who are delinquent on zoom and/or at in-person kh meetings, conventions, and assemblies".
i've noticed this as well: a few ppimis and pimqs who were very close to me and my exdub family members are hearing from them less and less lately than before last year's rc and this year's rc.
so, is the above a thing nowadays?

Atheism wouldn't require much of a tweak. Humans are social animals, and we seek out groups based on one or more similar interests/features. For many people who were religious, the 'atheist community' becomes a seemingly logical way to fill that role, so it becomes a surrogate religious community for them. Some will break away from that once they recognize it. I didn't want to get back into a religious community, I was happy to be free of it. I'd spent far too long proselytizing for a religion. The last thing I wanted to do was proselytize to get people out of religion.
You can see from some of Evans's posts that he is still in that part of it. He is still actively rejecting religion, instead of being free of it. He's also embracing the political side of the 'atheist community.' If you're not pandering to the extreme left, you can have a pretty rough time of it, so he's gone all-in. Whether that will be enough for them to overlook his treatment of women... let's just say he may be in for a bit of disappointment.

Rosemont Cemetery II
by RolRod inokay, so here's a follow-up to my post a while back regarding the society tearing down the pyramid monument.
they cleared the area and this is what they did.
notice ... nothing about the watchtower connected to it, just slabs of cheap concrete..

I think this is how they have finished discarding Charles Taze Russell. Just a name on a stone, now.

"(Jehovah’s Witness) elders share a deeply-held religious conviction that disclosing the records would violate their religious conscience and hinder their ability to spiritually shepherd congregants," the decision reads.
Well... if they did their jobs the way they claim they do, they would have no reason to fear having the records handed over. One can only imagine what the notes would reveal.
I'm betting that the WTS will tell them to resist the orders, no matter what. They will probably work the legal system in any way they can, and if they lose they will simply refuse to turn over the records. The real question is, what can the Privacy Commissioner do to them to force compliance? Fine them? Anything else?

Throwing rice at wedding banned! J.W don't want you to have kids!
by Witness 007 inrutherford in his last book in 1942 ironic that it was called "children" told witnesses don't have any kids!!!

This is what happened to Raymond Franz also, wasn't it? Between their work abroad and waiting for Paradise, they did not have children. There must be many JWs and exJWs in that boat. I never married or had kids myself, but I am not haunted by those decisions. Still, it is a reminder of just how large an impact (and not always for the better) the WTS has on the personal lives of so many people.

Sorry to hear it, Smiddy. Several years ago, my mother had a triple bypass and one of the medications they gave her made her paranoid and quite salty for around 36 hours. She was okay after that, though. I hope your wife recovers soon!

Phizzy: Jehoober OWNS the Universe, all of it, including this tiny, insignificant Blue Planet, therefore, how come he cannot simply direct Funds and Wealth to his chosen Org. ? He did it for King Solomon.
And Russell had made it clear in the early days of the WTS, that he felt that God was the source of the organization's funding. That if the money ever dried up, it was God's way of telling the organization that their work was done. The organization now has more money and wealth than he ever did, but they are the ones who keep asking for more.

Edit: Oh, it isn't new editions of it, it's translations into 13 new languages. Impressive, to be honest.

Fascinating Quotations of The Faithful Slave
by Vanderhoven7 indo you have any amazing quotations that have been produced by the faithful slave over the years?.
remember it's important that we should learn to love and value truth for it’s own sake; to respect and honor it by owning and acknowledging it wherever we find it and by whomever presented.
a truth presented by the faithful slave himself is just as true as a truth stated by god.. share some of those amazing quotations that have fascinated you.

My mother is still an active JW. She turned 85 back in May. Her mother was a JW, and two of her sisters are, as well as several of her nieces. My dad was in for a short period, but he did that mostly to try and hold the marriage together and it didn't work, so he left both the organization and the home back in the 80s. He passed away in 2001. One of his sisters is still a JW, as far as I know. She would be in her 80s as well. I doubt her sons are still JWs, they did not seem like the type to stay, heh.
My sisters and I are all out, we either left or faded over a long period of time. My older sister was a regular pioneer for a few years before she left (I later learned that she pioneered on the advice of some elders to deal with some issue she was having- it didn't work). I was a ministerial servant for about a year in the mid-90s. It felt like the culmination of a lot of hard work to get there, but by then my heart really wasn't in it and I lost that 'privilege' and that accelerated my fade (though I would never have thought I was fading at the time).
