  It seems that the company is even less religion based than I thought.

  My point still stands though, some dispicable git is still going to end up with all the money.

  The part that annoys me most is that if the religion side of the wt folds, the gb will just put on their other hats, and be left as directors of a multi-million dollar publishing/property owning/share holding company. All payed for with destroyed lives.

  C'mon elders, see what LOYAL SUPPORT you are getting from this company...ZIP!

  Don't let them take you for saps... get in first.

  Look what happened to the elders in Scotland, they followed procedure, and then were thrown to the dogs.

  Don't let this happen to you, be loyal to your congregation, who are loyal to you. Not to the company who are letting you down.

  The Christian world has martyrs enough, don't let it be you.

  Where You "overlooked" for Cong. Priv...

  picture the scene:.

  you are a young single brother with no other jw family members.

  you manage to tot up 90hrs a month in "field service";spend five hours per week preparing your watchtower for the study, however you are not an extremely extrovert person and don't try to "impress" the elders and the co. it seems though that this "spiritual" person never seems to be appointed as a ms or an excesively long time passes by before he does become such.

  the watchtower society, in its prime teaching publication the watchtower magazine, loves to discuss jehovah's "undeserved kindness.

  " comparing their bible, the new world translation , with the king james version, we see an interesting difference at romans 11:6:

  nwt: "now if it is by undeserved kindness, it is no longer due to works; otherwise, the undeserved kindness no longer proves to be undeserved kindness.

  disfellowshiping i have for a longtime realized is spiritual death.

  the jews began the practice when under roman rule as they no longer had the authority to independently sentence people to physical death.

  the alternative was to cut someone off from all association in teir closed society with the intent of destroying their lives to the fullest extent they could........ it is very ironic that the wts in disfellowshiping bill bowen and others involved in the dateline program they unintentionally have made christian martyrs of them.

  the latest kingdom ministry states that disassociated persons are to be treated the same as disfellowshipped ones.

  i have heard two explanations:.

  1) those who da are assumed to be sinners who were apt to be disfellowshipped if they had stayed in the organization.

  If someone DA's over a difference in beliefs or doctrine (not "sin") why treat them the same as DF?

  cos believing differently to what the company tells you is a sin, (Blasphemy I think).

  the jw's believe that something is only true if there are two witnesses.. the question is... why do the jw's belive that the nwt is a 'true translation' when there is only one witness to it.

  The double standards and misquotations of the company I find very useful in pointing out to people just what they would be getting into if they signed up, (I also find useful the scan of the 'use theocratic warfare strategy article'.

  What first allerted me came not very far into the study, (lesson 3, 1), where they refer to Prov. 8:22,31. I pointed out that this refers to wisdom and that wisdom can be:- learned, prayed for, lost etc. and one of the elders (they only ever sent elders to my study for some reason) came out with the best explanation of the Trinity that I have ever heard:-
  

  " wisdom is an aspect of God and Jesus is the personification of an aspect Of God"

  Not a lot of wisdom there methinks!

  Even the WTS admits that "Jehovah" is not the most accurate rendering, but they defer to "common usage" as justification for their continued employment of that form of the Name.

  But they do'nt defer to "common usage" of "Cross"etc.

  Bit of a double standard there Hmm?

  as of 8:30 pm this evening the appeal hearing decided to uphold the decision.

  i spoke to them for over an hour and tried to reason with them as to the validity of their decision.

  frankly, they were not interested.

  Sorry to hear this. Just one more cofirmation that the GB will have 'silence before justice'.

  It seeme to me that the hearings are unscriptural anyway. Does'nt the nt say bring it before the congregation?. So what has a secret elder committee got to do with that?

  True control depends on secrecy and misinformation.
