  i'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.

  i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

  read the book more than twice, it is getting long in the tooth by now. and there is no such thing as nothing.

  The zero energy slogan is a croc too. just because energies balance out, like in our 4 billion year old orbit, gravity pulling in, orbital velocity pulling out, does not mean there is 0 energy: contrary, there are 2 "energy forces" pulling against each other.

  same goes for the eternal energy potential. there are (2) equal parts, 1 on on each side of the balance,

  even LK's "nothing" needs time to exist in, energies to balance, and

  that ultimate question, never mind the answer, is beyond our comprehension, mine anyway.

  the word god has an endless number of meanings as we have already seen in this thread. : cofty

  defining the g-word would focus the discussion.

  I like to zero in on the existence question, the footprints a possible creator left behind. artwork even.

  Things that "science" has proven: Energy, even its alter ego, matter, can not be destroyed or created, so it must be eternal. For energy to exist, it must have time to exist in, so "time" is eternal, not just the past, but also into the future.

  With that out of the way as over the horizon, beyond our grasp, now what?

  Cain - where's the critical thinking skills?

  just read a post on facebook where somebody is making some wild crazy-talk about the descendants of cain being the beast of revelation or something.. cain was always a strange tale to me.

  don't people use any critical thinking skills when they read this stuff?

  everybody knows cain killed his brother abel, but do they ever look at the surrounding tale?.

  being a vegetarian was not easy, what with the cursed ground, and then trying to feed a hungry god along with that. And then the meal is not good enough. I would be mad too.

  And the smart aleck, getting rid of the stinky carrion by burning it. smoke will keep the mosquitos away no doubt, and setting all the priests, mediators up with good meals for the rest of mankind's time on earth.

  Met a real, "publishing" flat Earther yesterday, showed him the ocean's horizon from the 3rd floor. did not floor him.

  Female JW parking "attendants"

  i was shocked recently to see on social media a couple pictures of jw sisters at a convention working as parking "attendants".

  i put that title in quotation marks because they still don't get the official attendant badge like the male parking attendants do, only the reflective vest.

  has anybody else heard of this .

  clever, interesting. that is what I mean, imagine a female hitler, adored by all the men, inviting all manner of invaders to come to Germany and pay them for it. An anti fortress Europa. could not have happened in the past but the present. A gift.

  She would of given each of us a time machine.

  it would violate the free will fantasy , cause and effect.

  Imagine some good meaning well intentioned J.W.sending you back to a time

  The past does not exist anymore. Only fossils of it. We have past through the present, and can only see messages coming from the past, but the emitters have gone forward too, are gone. There is no machine to go back in time, but we are all going forward. While there is plenty of time in the future, we are not there yet.

  Be happy that your adversaries, mother in law even , do not have power over the future. Enjoy the now, it is so short.

  i hope this finds all of you well.

  i'm also hoping some of you might be able to help me with a particular type of de-witnessing strategy that i'm trying to develop more in my own discussions with active family members.

  it seems to me that analogy and metaphor plays a prominent role in the society's teaching (critical thought killing) techniques.

  How about marking the whole wt apparatus as the establishment and the clarifying comments of Jesus attacking the one in his day as a justification to pointing out digressions of the WT? (particularly doctrinal ones)

  How about Joseph's reporting to his father as the quintessential whistleblower? rewarded at the end? even to a double tribe in "spiritual Israel" ?

  This year’s convention

  two things i noted at this year’s rc.

  1) the new teaching with respect to matthew 25:45 which was applied equally to the rank & file jw.

  this teaching is also found in the watchtower study for last sunday.. then he will answer them, saying: ‘truly i say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.. 2) the new armageddon video which was a big shift.

  wt doctrine is exactly the opposite of what the bible writers put down about Jesus' sayings. He said "--the least of my brothers--", Calling the magnificent 8 in Warwick the least, rather than the top dogs is not wt doctrine.

  Finding the least of the brothers or sisters in any congregation would be easy, just watch the cliques in action, and the ones they ignore.
