  Overlapping Generations

  i remember when that came out, my mother didn't catch it in the original article in the wt.

  it was in one of the review "do you remember" thingies that she caught it.

  I also think this overlapping generation idea was something that allows them to keep appointing younger and younger people to the Governing Body.

  Shall we consider the ages involved of these overlapping groups?

  D. Splane used the example of F. Franz, who died in 1992, 78 years after 1914. A similarly aged anointed, ( or older as D.S mentioned in the video), would live into the 2070s.

  Wt bases the overlapping generation idea on Ex. 1:6, mentioning "Joseph,---- and that whole generation", and he himself lived to 110 years old; but even that is not enough for wt, they have to add his overlapping generation to it. So wt has a group overlapping a 110 year old as the only scriptural bases for their current light. Not making light of this, but

  wt has come up with a 200 year period of invisible 1914-19 rulers waiting for the over lappers to die and join them.

  Younger people are not going to fix that. A fix that is unfixable.

  they waited until the very last member died

  well that what wt has reserved , as a way out. way out.

  Jesus said the generation would not pass away, die. so: it is not only overlapping, it will go on and on and on. after all, it has --for almost 2000 years, why stop now.

  wt is playing them all for suckers. Wt teaches that the anointed will pass away to heaven at the beginning, not long* after the end. so: they actually have a disclaimer already build in. long Pinocchio nose.

  *wt formerly taught that the generation would never die, now, that is what I called long.

  PS. just to be clear. Jesus said the generation would pass away, just not before the destruction, the end.

  My dental theory

  while enjoying one of my favourite snacks the other day, (hula hoops) i suddenly had this thought; if ever a metal nut is hard to loosen with a wrench, usually a a couple of sharp hits with a hammer is enough to break the grip of whatever is holding it - usually rust.

  similarly, crunching on foods which can impart small shockwaves to a capped tooth could have the same effect and cause the hardened dental cement to fracture and loosen the crown.

  This came out at an assembly right? I remember a friend telling me about it, and that his COBE brother said to him after the talk, "we were duped."

  I think jws want their worldview to be correct so much that they, like the fabricators of that this desperate " let us rescue 1914" ploy, - want to make, will it to come true. The calculation of the long lives involved will take the concept into the failed prophecy centennial though. Die hards indeed.

  these 144,000 are witnesses only.

  there is over a million jw world wide, what happens to the rest of the faithful followers.

  A really mixed up bible story, out of which the wt has drawn wrong conclusions because

  to rule with Christ, go where he goes, you have to be

  1) a male virgin: Rev 14, (perhaps Fredrick Franz would qualify, but also

  2) be killed for Christ's sake by the axe, Rev 20. which counts him out, FF pushing Jesus into the background in favour of J no. 1, and dying in a Brooklyn bed.

  Martyrs have been overlapping since Stephen. wt has nothing to do with it.

  switched to a different kind of date and found out the hard way. painfully loosened a front lower, hope it will heal back in, so far so good. My dental theory? do not switch dates, They may have pits.

  I know of only one case in San Fransisco where dog owners were convicted in the correct manner of the damage they caused.

  Victim protection first. Dog owners should be criminally responsible for fright, injury and death their pets cause. Then civil damages. Even if the particular animal never showed aggressive behaviour, put the owner on trial, even if it was their baby that died.

  JWs going in the service are already victims, they do not deserve to face double jeopardy.

  Billions and billions died because of one theft by a blood relative, (actually possession of stolen goods. [or swallowing it to destroy evidence])?

  Then you have to have another half-blood killed to annul the theft's effects? before you could say, hey, , ok , I was just running a test, a set up, a trap a sting?
