  A disturbing reaction.

  earlier today i was listening to a you tube video about brain plasticity, how our minds aren't hardwired, and that by changing the way we think it can make actual physical changes in the brain.

  which is cool for many reasons.

  one in particular for me and likely any ex jw is that the way the wts has programmed us, especially those born in, can eventually get past it.

  Did not David Splane's remarks on irrelevant type anti-types, past doctrines negate all these past doctrines? fringe-grabbers, jonadabs et al? I was a jonadab on my first Pub. record card.

  To fit the "city of refuge sheep", what sins would they be running from? disobeying Jesus' command to "eat and drink, all of you?" anointed or not? , and his listeners were not anointed! OS all 11or12 of them!?

  Wt doctrine also falsely identifies "The Sheep" of Math 25 with the "other sheep" of John 10, (really the Gentile Christians), and the former are supposed to be a separate "class" from "Christ Brothers, the true cheep, the little flock". so,

  The Mixed multitude, Gibeonite, Jonadab, fringe grabbing, City refugee , multiple anti typical second class Christians may be disproven, but for wt, the "we, the superior anointed" power trip is too tempting to be abandoned.

  The real reverse marksmanship of wt is in installing the anointed sheep as the last generation, instead of the hapless Other Sheep.

  The last generation according to the biblical Jesus is supposed to last into everlasting paradise. (the sheep of Math 25 coming out of the Great Tribulation). The last wt generation, the anointed, never make it.

  Contradicting Jesus is really off the mark. blowing your doctrine out of the water (of "truth"). marked?

  Todays WT, study with worldy kids if you can

  according to today's wt, jws are now encouraged to start bible studys with worldy kids even if their parents dont want to join in.

  the wt suggests that the study should take place with the parent present or with another mature jw present.. the wt suggests that studying with the kid may make the parent eventually want a study too.. ...

  in what situation would any worldly parent allow some stranger from a werid cult to come jnto their house and convert their children?

  kids are naturally contradictory. (we were pro-jazz, Mustang, B17 in the Hitler Youth ha ha, so, jw parents beware, pretend to be worldly, apostate to keep your kids "in".

  Genesis chapter one can make your life meaningful and joyful

  literal reading of genesis chapter one brings no benefit because you would see god as speaking to fishes and birds (genesis 1:22) which we know is not possible.

  however, with “a king’s mind” if one looks for the implied truth behind its literary allusions it may bring immense benefit.

  (proverb 25:2) for example:.

  Meaningful and joyful? great feelings, like generated by majestic classical music? yes, . but the message is wrong, like the Nazi , other anthems.

  The only redeeming features, that the words ".... god said... " implies resonances, and several laws, theories have frequency components. Bible writers had no idea about that though, not even "jesus" who was supposed to have done it all.

  is it all about feeling good, even using error and lies?

  That was just part of this WT.
  Another topic was the unique trial of someones mate dying, FedUp actually got to comment on this one.

  yeah,

  8. A woman is "saved through childbearing" wt: "saved, but not to everlasting life", only from meddling in other's affairs , (like pioneering). ha ha.

  9. losing a mate? wt: "look to the resurrection hope", but wt teaches that the resurrected mates will not be reunited in marriage, even if there is one (mate, or a resurrection). . ( because there may be six others with similar claims) wt rules are rules.

  this when i believed, i said no one really believes armageddon is imminent because we would sell our possessions and preach the remaining short time , i said we all like a each way bet.

  i was always a loose canon with the microphone.

  i once said if bible was in movie form jws would be forbidden to watch..

  JW _Rogue .my follow up comment. Armageddon would be the easy part, like Trump's itchy finger on the nuclear button, and it did not happen , destroying life is easy, making it hard.so: If

  humans are all "god's children".

  so does that make the gb our "uncles"?.

  not a very good idea to say the least.

  when i read paul's words the more i see how delusional the guy was.

  he was a genuine religious fanatic who contradicts jesus words on the sermon on the mount.. 2 corinthians 10:5 5we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of god, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to christ.. delusional and in need of some serious psychological help.

  i came into the borg in 1973, just as they were starting the new elder arrangement.

  i know that before that there was a presiding overseer who (as i understand it) ran the show.
