  BB, rtn, thank you for filling in the details for otwo. I found it offensive that in the story, wt linked the physical abuse to the contact with the "apostates", that is more of a wt reaction, they have stated they would, and will kill them given the opportunity.

  In the other, earlier story, what could be labelled as "physical abuse", would of course be overdone "loving discipline from jehovah" , the "rod of correction"..

  I just liked to link those two wt mother stories, Wt implies that abandoning a child for life is the proper course. cruelly persecuting the dissenters.

  When you look at the deadly persecution of minorities around the world, by the millions, wt adherents are really cry babies. nothing unique, not a identifying mark of the uniquely true religion or community.

  in a previous article, a mother, upon having her son leave the so called wt "truth", decides never to talk to him again in any way, becomes an ueber wt slave aka pioneer. how loving both examples.

  that is how afraid wt is that diddenters get a hearing ear. discover the truth that sets free.

  God vs ET`s ,why is one more probable than the other ?

  billions of people around the world beleive in a god of some sort or other who exerts some power or influence to some degree or other in lifes affairs .. i don`t think there would be anywhere near that figure that would entertain the possability of extra terrestial life elsewhere in the universe.. and i find that curious .. the ancients didn`t know that their were other humans on other continents on this planet until they ventured out and found them .. we live somewhere in the milky way galaxy with millions of suns and planets that orbit them.. our galaxy is only one of trillions if not zillions of galaxys in the known universe.. look at the diversity of life on just this one planet earth ,what possabilitys could exist elsewhere ?

  on alien worastronomers can use the hubble space telescope to view galaxies near the edge of the observable universe (the region of space from which light has had a chance to reach us within the last 13.77 billion years).

  by examining a very tiny portion of the sky, counting up the number of visible galaxies in the universe in that specific region, and then multiplying that number to account for all the regions of the sky, astronomers estimate the number of galaxies in the universe.

  I am not questioning here whether or not UFO`s or UAP exists but whether or not in all probability life in one form or another could exist elsewhere in the universe

  s3, but you put that question in contrast to the probability of a creator. or god figure not created by wo/ men/

  one of our 9 planets has life. Unless the universes created themselves, could you think of the possibility of one creator? even if he/she used agents?

  we learned the hard way, that both energy and a process (laws) are needed to create, shape anything. The amount of energy locked up in matter is mind boggling. so is the amount of matter.

  energy is uncreated. while a baby seems to create itself, why should be that true of the universe?

  replicating the start of life, which is a unique user of energy, is very difficult, even if you have all the ingredients, and can create the condition that would favour the restart of the process, so:

  with all the trillions^4 of places of places available in the universes, it could have started often. to do that you would need only one creator, you would have many creatures.

  Energy and laws from the top down, not bottom up.

  gods are made up creatures of/ in our minds. Aliens would be fellow travellers using energy longer, better.

  i’ve noticed a change in family attitude recently, like there is just something extra on their mind.

  i even had to call my brother to check if he was dying and too scared to tell me.

  anyway, i saw a video last night my saying jws think we only have 12 months left before armageddon so thought maybe this is the reason for changes attitude.

  Overrated: good point. two centenarians, overlapping by 20 years each gives 160 years plus 1914 equals 2074, plus the current 12 month is 2075.

  for one thing if the GT is about to start, with the end only 12 month away, why do we still have Br. Lett to amuse us???. because according to current wt doctrine,

  the anointed will go to heaven at the beginning of the Great tribulation, to prepare to be battle ready at armageddon. therefore,

  while the warwick 8, & all the anointed generation are still with us, Armageddon is not close. of course this is a false prophecy anyway, , because

  Jesus said that the generation will not pass away before the end, but a f t e r all these things have occurred. so,

  even after wt corrects that mistake, watch for watchtower's elite disappearing, only then the end can come.

  watching in on my wife's zoom meeting last night, there was an item about discipline is love.

  they played a 'caleb' animated cartoon and then the instructions were 'if possible, ask selected young children' several questions.. it seems however, that there are no children in my wife's current congregation so the questions were all answered by retired brothers and sisters.

  the congregation mainly consists of elderly people (like us) and the few of childbearing age seem not interested in having children.

  es, may be your cong situation is caused by the geography. Another situation is that there might be a core of true believers of old ladies, well off, that make up the handful, small number of commenters on zoom, but a healthy group of 20 to 40 year olds is procreating, and determined to maintain their circle of friends, even at the price of having to parrott wt propaganda. they are uninterested in doctrines, belief.

  just like other churches, members do not really know what the doctrines are, but are fighting to make their life socially meaningful. having children, ignoring the doom and gloom of wt propaganda.
