  Bethelite statistics

  hey guys, i'm working on a paper about exploitation amongst jehovah's witnesses ( i'm also preparing a book about jehovah's witnesses and interaction ritual theory, and another paper about jehovah's witnesses and discrimination against women).

  i'm trying to calculate as exact figures as i can concerning how much bethelites are paid.

  does anyone know the monthly stipend as of now?

  I do remember that back in the day......... late 1950's early 1960's Bethelites were paid a $14 a month stipend for a 5 and 1/2 day week. That worked out to 35 cents per hour.

  That was generous of wt.

  During that time special pioneers were paid $ 45.- a month for 150 hours of "service" aka work*. worked out to 30 cents Canadian, out of that you had to pay all, food, shelter, transportation. The late figures now are skewed, because social contribution issues are starting to come into play in many jurisdictions.* not counting meeting preparation, normal JW grind.

  wt remember, 30 cents an hour, to people in their prime earning age, never to come back, while a billion $ real estate empire was being assembled.

  big, dead place is a name a sharp-witted aussie gave to the antarctic base at mcmurdo sound, managed by uncomprehending american bureaucrats located in faraway nebraska.. you can read the origins of the name on the australian abc's web-site today:.

  but as i read that story, i thought what a wonderfully descriptive name for nathan knorr's vision of the 'new world society' - the name of jw.com's predeccessor, and the name by which i knew the organisation of the christian witlesses of yhwh when i first got conned into thinking that i had found not only the truth, but the solution to the starving billions of this world and all the other shit that worries humankind.. but i will spare your the re-run of my wasted life in later versions of big, dead place.

  mixing metaphors here. but did not Wt doctrine originally incorporate the pyramids, the big places for the dead mentioned in the bible, and is the whole thing not a kind of pyramid scheme, taking in life and capital from members, promising a payout, when the whole thing has collapsed?

  And is the place not mentally dead, void of refreshing discussion?

  problem with this week's video on counsel.

  why did they emphasize the counsel and not the fact that those who were watching movie should have followed christ counsel at mathew 5 go to your brother instead they ratted on the guy to an elder and let him do dirty work.wow just totally ignore jesus words..

  wt mind control, they want to promote this to be normal behaviour of the sheep to be shorn.

  Noah`s day Flood ? ( again) Waters Covering Active Volcanoes ?

  i know their have been many posts dedicated to this subject already and i apologize if this aspect has been handled before.. apart from the many other absurdities relating to the flood of noah`s day being literal as jehovah`s witnesses believe and already thrashed out here by the many posts previous.. i was wondering if this aspect has been considered that the waters would have had to cover over active volcanoes with what result ?.

  their are a number of" active and resting" volcanoes at any one time around the earth and i`m just wondering if anyone more knowledgeable than me about the subject would like to weigh in and give their 2 cents worth in what effect a global flood covering volcanoes would have ?.

  i am aware their are fissures in the deep oceans where volcanic activity occurs ,but is this the same ?.

  Well of course the volcanoes would have kept ongoing bubbling up its molten lava while being covered over with water.

  yea 9000 meters of it 900 more atmospheric pressure added.

  holding back the lave or providing a Heimlich* procedure?

  Volcanoes often expel a lot of hot gases, Old faithful would have created steam bubbles 2500 BC.*

  bubbles make hot gases visible in water,

  The flood story is a lot of hot air, volcanoes makes that more evident. so:

  look at the water, below it volcanoe,

  above, a floating canoe, aka ark, made from wood, cedar perhaps, only bigger. something fishy about that story

  i love watching the jw cart crashers on youtube and how the zombie, brain dead, we are so much better than you jdubs react.

  when they do talk a little about the two witness rule they will mention the need for proof and the testimony of the poor child is just not enough to take the inquiry any further.. the reason for calling the police is immediately is that dna can be gathered from the poor victim.

  this evidence is the second witness used for prosecution.

  The reality is, that most molestation cases are not rapes, sour grapes. But getting out of control nut cases off the streets, should be a priority, DNA, witnesses or not .

  i have always wondered why there are more females than males in all of the congregations that i have visited?

  some of these females are in their 70's so maybe their husbands have died and women just live longer.

  or could the reason be that years ago men were the breadwinners and women stayed home to raise the children thus they were home during the week when the jdubs came a knocking?

  i wondered about that when i heard garret loesch state that shortly before the tribulation the governing body would be taken up.

  .

  if this is the case, it seems like garret and the other seven would be there just in time to help out in the killing of billions.. i thought they used to say that some would survive armageddon before they were taken up..

  This is the current title of the CO's Tuesday talk, so:

  since god's people as a group are protected, what is a protected running like? easy, on a treadmill, hamster cage (protected from the big cat, roaring lion) . with the masters re-setting forever more distant goals, time on the track. busy, busy, going nowhere fast.

  Sunday's talk: "How to survive the end of the world". easy again. We, as a group, survived 1914, 1925, 1942, 1975, the end of the century, and will survive the end of the overlapping generation* too. wt.

  PS: * but it, the generation, will not survive, by their own admission.
