"Do not rejoice in your enemy's misfortune.--" sometimes even the expanded talking snake tale has a good suggestion.

Apologists saying that the JWs shouldn't be banned, what the hell!??
by Crazyguy init's been brought to my attention that there are xjw that say they support the witnesses and don't think russia should ban them.
i would just like to remind all of you that jws are guilty of murder, causing higher rates of suicide, covering up child molestation, and keeping members in prisoned because if they leave they loose family, financial support, possible employment etc.. sure their not strapping bombs to their chests but they easily get members to kill themselves with their blood policies.
they are an extremist group!

"There is evidence of a Creator if you just look for it"
by unsure in(for the record, i’m agnostic who is earnestly seeking an objective, honest and concrete hope for something greater).
“there is evidence of a creator if you just look for it”.
many of us have heard similar sentences from believers regarding proof of creator, proof that their religion is the correct one, proof that their particular sect is the right one, proof that their individual sects interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one, proof that their own personal interpretation of a certain religious text is the right one; the list goes on.. in one of my previous posts, i shared the following thought of mine:.

Since none of these things apply to any holy writing - I know that no deity has communicated with humans" ttdtt
so we have to look elsewhere in the traces left in the creation process, started ~ 13 billion earth years ago. May be, there is a subtle hint here and there. like a non-essential artistic touch.

-agree that this practice is terrible. Spoletta:
hate to disappoint you, but it is terrible only because it is not mentioned that the approval is depending on that the girl has had the FGM procedure, without anesthesia .
This is what awaits you infidels when the islamic conquest aka "integration" is complete. Pay attention voters.
Hope this a delayed April one item,

How ever even if Einstein was a theist, it does not prove anything., unsure:
I am not trying to, by invoking Einstein, to have authority, he just resonates with me in his original expressions (he lived in my home town for a long time).
He was not a theist, but a deist. He had a disastrous family life and rejected a personal, intervening god. did not believe in an afterlife : "ach was"
I agree with you, that it is confusing to listen to all the arguments or sort out what supposedly inspired books or interpretation thereof give by way of insights into "god".
Research into creation itself should give a picture of the creator, or absence of.
Listening to the results of the top researchers, theorists would give us an inkling.
" go not beyond the things
writtencreated" , my credo. -

"--Sorry not sure what you are getting at. I said that Einstein was at most agnostic and some would say athiest
thank you for that link. reading it re-affirms my impression that Einstein was in no way an atheist, just as Newton too was convinced in a superior mind behind, or better before the natural laws and creation. My impression were formed by reading extensively about A.E. (I quoted from "Einstein in Berlin"--""where is the old Jehovah?")
Often Einstein referred to the creator as " Der Alte", the old one.
Modern advocates like to equate Atheism with intelligence and belief in a mind behind nature , deism as dumbness. But remember, the greatest seminal science, Kepler, Newton....... was done by believers, and it was done because they believed, and their discoveries strengthened those beliefs.
Einstein well exemplifies a deist. your link is highly recommended reading.
Post Script: Confusion sets in because the term A-theist, which lumps too many shades of unbelief together. Einstein did not believe in a trinitarian or other religious, intervening deity, but did all this work with the conviction in the existence of a prior, superior creative mind, responsible for the cosmos we live in.

Being Jewish we take the "talking snake" as mere allegory. David_Jay
All the supposedly Christian writers being Jewish too, not just the one that penned the first book of Moses, they carried on the sustained metaphor right into Revelation. Not to be outdone, hardly a wt meeting goes by without the symbolic original serpent, perhaps morphed into a roaring lion gets mentioned, as a real dangerous enemy.
I wanted to hear others feelings expressed as having been involved in spreading a ridiculous story like that, that was claimed to have devastating on jall creation, and cosmic consequences, on"universal sovereignty"no less.
I really like the light symbolism, brightness generated by oxidisation, flame, as we still carry that original spark that started it all, and that was carried forward by our specific ancestors. I am so glad your's carried through the 30s and 40s too.

When I happen to look at my wife together in a mirror, I am shocked, and she should be appalled too, for she is so much more beautiful viewed head on. mirrors and smoke do no justice to the beauty of creation.

Jehovah witnesses and life insurance
by Steel inmy wife was recently cornered by the elders about her blood card because she didn't have one.
so one elder witnessed her sign it and he signed it and one elder made himself her health care agent.. with the memorial coming up i am thinking of maybe having a life insurance policy drawn up, maybe in the amount of 300 or 400 dollars a month and i will ask these two dipshits if they would like to sign it.
it only seems fair they should be finicially responsible for my son since they made my wife sign a document endangering her safety.. what do you think?.

Can't you use your 'headship' authority to ask for the card and documents? How dare an Elder claim authority over her health care. Listener:
Very good point! The elders/wt insert themselves in so many unscriptural ways into the family arrangement outlined in 1 Cor 11; 3.
