I heard this opening before and it made my skin crawl. I remember I felt sick about it. What hypocrites!

Interesting Opening statement in a public talk
by Da.Furious inon sunday we had a talk, don't remember the title, but something about having zeal in our ministry and we are the best and have the truth stuff.
the interesting this was the opening statement.. the speaker started: we may have seen on the tv or knew about the tv evangelizers, they have lots of energy in preaching on the tv and they ask for donations by text showing on the screen and their talk is based on asking for money.. then he moved on to talk how our organization is truly supported by god...... the thing that shocked me as related to the ignorance the speaker had.
haven't he watched the jw.org tv channel?

June 2017 Watchtower - Jehovah's Sovereignty is at stake if you disagree with us
by Listener infour years ago the watchtower made the following demand.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.
they are not content with obedience and in the upcoming june watchtower they have this to say -15. how does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for jehovah’s way of ruling?15 what is our response to divinely authorized headship?

My awkward elders hearing
by Andamormonjustbelieves ini was baptized when i was 14 years old.
i hadn't had any real relationship with a girl up to that point.
but when i started going to high school i learnt the joys of experimenting with girls, so i did not stay a faithful member of the congregation for long.

I wish you the best! It is good that we are both still young. We have to start our lives over and enjoy life. Maybe you can help your family wake up by inserting questions you know they can't answer.

I'm still waiting for an apology from Spolletta who said what I posted was fake news on page 41.

This reminds me of what happened in my hall. The daughter of an elder who is also my friend was disfelloweshipped for having sex with a brother from another her. Two years later she was reinstated thanks to the pressure of her father. A very short time after that she got disfellowshipped again but this time, there were different elders involved and they asked her all sorts of very private questions like what positions did they have sex in, how many times did they do it, where did they do it, and if oral sex was performed, if they used a condom and more things. I'm not joking. I know because we talked about this later and she said he was getting all excited and aroused when he asked these questions and she was just so disgusted with him that she said she wanted to be disfellowshipped and having nothing to do with this religion. I believe her no question what happened and we still remain friends but she said she will never come back even though her family has shunned her because of that experience. So it seems to be very common.

I totally agree with this video about Islam
by ILoveTTATT2 inhttps://www.facebook.com/prageru/videos/1182232715152916/?hc_ref=newsfeedcan islam be reformed though?could it, for example, be accepted eventually that only the quran, and only the nice parts of it, need to be followed?how did judaism - the non- orthodox kind - become one of the most progressive and open of religions, considering their holy text is so violent?maybe that should be studied?.

Since Simon mentioned the Southern Poverty Law Center, this is a very interesting article about how corrupt they have become, written actually by a Jewish man.
Some interesting notes from the article:
The SPLC lists the David Horowitz Freedom Center as a hate group. But then again it also lists the American College of Pediatricians and the Jewish Political Action Committee as hate groups.
It doesn’t take much to be listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
You don’t need to be a group to be listed by the SPLC as a hate group. You don’t even need to have a pulse. Inanimate plastic signs can be listed too.
The rest of the SPLC’s “increase” is padded out with assorted community groups opposed to refugee resettlement, such as Treasure Valley Refugee Watch, and any Christian ministry it doesn’t like.
No amount of overt anti-Semitism from CAIR’s Nihad Awad would ever get the Islamist hate group listed as a hate group. Even CAIR’s flirtation with Neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers can’t get it on the hate map. The SPLC collaborated with the Muslim Public Affairs Council despite its anti-Semitism.
