June 2017 Watchtower - Jehovah's Sovereignty is at stake if you disagree with us

Four years ago the Watchtower made the following demand

All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

They are not content with obedience and in the upcoming June Watchtower they have this to say -

    15. How does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for Jehovah’s way of ruling?
15 What is our response to divinely authorized headship? By our respectful cooperation, we show our support for Jehovah’s sovereignty. Even if we do not fully understand or agree with a decision, we will still want to support theocratic order. That is quite different from the way of the world, but it is the way of life under Jehovah’s rulership. (Eph. 5:22, 23; 6:1-3; Heb. 13:17) We benefit from doing so, for God has our interests at heart.

The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.”

So now, to show that they support Jehovah's sovereignty the JW must support directions and decisions that they do not agree with.

Too bad for the individuals own conscience on a matter. Even if their disagreement can be supported by the Bible, it doesn't matter. The GB know they can be wrong but expect to be supported even when they are.

It is clear to most ex JWs that their Child Abuse procedures have been very flawed. The Australian Royal Commission is making that quite clear to them but the good JW is required to support their decisions which has caused great distress to individuals and families.

The question asked in the above paragraph is "How does respect for theocratic headship reveal our love for Jehovah’s way of ruling?"

This means that they see all their decision making that results in terrible consequences for JWs as being a demonstration of Jehovah's way of ruling - wonderful.

June WT, page 30, par. 15 - "What is our response to divinely authorized headship?"

Who divinely authorized the WTBTS/7 charlatans in Warwick? The only divinely authorized head for Christians is the Christ!)

This self-promoting corporation-cum-religion exposes its corruption with every new piece of propaganda.

Seven Shepherds, Eight Dukes—What They Mean for Us Today

Paragraph 17: Elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) The most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of “the Assyrian” is that of strengthening our faith in God and helping our brothers to do the same. (2) When “the Assyrian” attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that Jehovah will deliver us. (3) At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not. (4) Now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking. The elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.

Who Is Leading God’s People Today?

Paragraph 12: The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction. In fact, the Watch Tower Publications Index includes the heading “Beliefs Clarified,” which lists adjustments in our Scriptural understanding since 1870. Of course, Jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food. So how can we answer Jesus’ question: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?” (Matt. 24:45) What evidence is there that the Governing Body is filling that role? Let us consider the same three factors that directed the governing body in the first century.

    Uphold Jehovah’s Sovereignty!

    Great thread.

Yes, the statements offered as "FACTS" by the articles, need to be questioned.

What proof is there that "they are divinely appointed"?

Good point listener! WT has turned Jesus' easy yoke into some sort of mental instrument of torture.

    The bold points darkspliver mentioned...

All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.

    +

The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction

By our respectful cooperation, we show our support for Jehovah’s sovereignty. Even if we do not fully understand or agree with a decision, we will still want to support theocratic order.

    Hi,

At Warkwick, they have a big caldron and they mixing and stirring the drink for us the Jim Jones beverage...

It's a set-up, they know in a while the ARC thing will hit the media, somehow....so the WT is putting themselves in place....the God's Kingdom Rules book is to endear the org. to us to give us it beginnings. This is to soften are hearts towards them...oh, look the org. has been through so many changes...but what they are telling us is just the tip of the ice berg...they aren't telling us the nitty gritty of the org....they are telling a few negative things about the org. and the friends, but that's just to appear humble....

With all the directions the Elders get from the org, they won't know what to direct us to do....they can't keep up with this chariot....

Witnesses think they are protecting God's name....they really think they are married to him and carry his name. They don't read the scriptures. God said he will make his name known...

Right now all this self promotion of the org. is like a finger in the dam....the water is the child abuse, and they can't hold back the water forever...

When we go out in service, most of the friends are obedient but most always say, why are we going to this area, we were here last week, why did he put those two together, the friends only obey the elders when they feel like it. I know I'm a witness....they will tell me....well it's whatever the brother says, but they don't follow that same advice.

The brothers can't even get the names straight from the stage...need I say more?

Funny how Hebrews 13 v 17 gets trotted out. Just ask them to read Heb 13 v 7 - 9 to get the true context of it.

    (nwt 2013)

"7 Remember those who are taking the lead among you, who have spoken the word of God to you, and as you contemplate how their conduct turns out, imitate their faith.

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.

9 Do not be led astray by various and strange teachings, for it is better for the heart to be strengthened by undeserved kindness than by foods, which do not benefit those occupied with them."

    Bold italics mine.

Can anyone here make a concrete distinction between the vindication of the name of Mickey Mouse and that of Jehovah?

LISTENER - Thanks for posting this, interesting.

WT statement from the June WT , " Even if we do not fully understand OR AGREE with a decision , we will still want to support theocratic order. "

WT Translation - What they REALLY mean : " Even if you as Jehovah's people don't AGREE with our policies dealing with child abuse , shunning, not going to college, no blood transfusions, you as Jehovah's people will still NEED to support theocratic order to remain in good standing in the congregation. "

WT P.S. - " Even IF we are a criminal organization, the Governing Body still have DIVINELY AUTHORIZED HEADSHIP . Deal with it. " Peace out, Mr. flipper
