Totally cringeworthy weekend of Facebook smugness.
by quellycatface inlast night i was looking at some of my ex-friends photos of the assembly in twickenham.. the smugness is palpable.
the smiles do not reach their eyes, however.
everyone is swathed in shawls, men with jumpers under their suits and it all looks very stiff.. anyone else seen any of these photo calls?

BBC Documentary - Gay and under attack
by krejames inhttp://bbc.in/1m7z8gm.
interesting, if mis-titled, documentary by the bbc on what it's like to be gay and from the muslim or afro-caribbean community in the uk.
the views of the muslims and seventh day adventists are not a million miles away from the jw beliefs we, um, "know and love".

Brotherhood of the Cross and Star
by krejames ini was in battersea park in london yesterday (enjoying the gorgeous weather and riding on a boris bike hehe), when i saw a number of small groups of africans in white robes talking to various people who were relaxing in the park.
one or two were showing scriptures to the people they were talking to.
obviously my interest was immediately piqued and i stopped my bike and asked one of them for a leaflet.. this morning i finally got around to reading it.

A People for his name....no mention of The Rutherford/Hitler issue?
by krejames inat last received tony wills' "a people for his name" and have just read the chapter on ww2.
completely dumbfounded as to how the author could have missed out such an important issue as the declaration of facts and rutherford's letter to hitler?!
very disappointed.
