So just turn in an 'average' report every month and be done with it. You can count your time here if it helps. I'm in 'another' country now and it helps that they don't speak English. Avoid showing up at any 'english' speaking congregations and you are good to go. Just have them send you card to a cong in another city.

Fading in another country
by sillygirl2013 inthis is my first topic here, i'm a bit nervous and hope no police-y jw elder/ms is trolling this site looking for faders.
paranoia i hope, not anything close to reality :-).
so i've been away from my country for a year now, working in this fantastic country in europe.

3/15/12 WT: Health Problems Causing You To Become Spiritually Weak? Then You Are Wicked.
by yourmomma inhttp://download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/e1/ws_e_20130315.pdf.
check out the first study article in the march 15th study edition.
it seems they are now stating that if you allow health problems to cause you to miss meetings or become inactive then you are wicked because you refuse to "get up" from being stumbled.

Guapo's story reminds me of a simlliar experience I had a couple of years ago. I was out with an elder distributing invitations to the memorial and we skipped a house on the street. A few minutes later, a 'wordly' sister of one of our older 'sisters' with poor health chased us down. It seems her sister had seen us in the window and started crying when we did not stop in. So we went back and the best this 'sheperd' could do was encourage her to come to the meetings. The woman could not even walk! No warmth, no empathy. I was totaly embarassed by the whole situation. He probably saw her as just an unproductive drag on his time, too needy!

Jehovah's Witnesses dismayed by new magazine format from Watchtower Society.
by Balaamsass inwow.
i was surprised this week by calls from active jws complaining about the new magazine format, and more begging for money from the platform.. frankly i was surprized by this reaction since this is old news to jwn members.
i guess actually shuffling to the bookroom and grabbing the new "awake tracts" minus the inside cover forward ...awakened many sleepy, catatonic, bored jws who never read the things or go on the internet anyway.. any feedback from other areas?.

"Assembly Day 1" "Elders Will Help You Understand Society's Publications That Contradict The Bible"???
by ÁrbolesdeArabia in"data-dog", elders do not have time to involve themselves with publishers "personal, secret views", why can't the sheep do their own personal thinking and keep it to themselves if they desire to remain "in good standing"?
watchtower is afraid of the internet, men like simon, randy and greg stafford, anderson cos (women too) sites putting questions into thinking jws heads.
the wts is nervous because of the effect sites like jwn, freeminds, e-watchman, elihu , jw romania".

@Larsinger58 - that was one of your best posts ever.
I was going to send that 'as-is', but to be honest I haven't read all your posts. To be fair, I recognize that we all have some issues.

I got mine from the wife (in Polish) but at least in Polish, the entire 'Purpose' statement is gone! I thought they were just going to remove the part about 'soon' as opposed to pre-1995 version that referenced 1914. So, I guess there is no 'Purpose' in having the Awake. For sure it could easily be merged with public edition of WT.

Wife's FS report for last month... Zero!
by Captain Obvious ini could just be reading too far into this but... even with plenty of opportunities and time to go, she didn't seem to make it out last month.
last night she said she was gonna go out today (the 1st) but... she's downstairs at the moment sipping coffee watching tv.
a few weeks ago on the long drive back from the assembly we talked about fs.

You could try suggesting that you go somewhere together next Saturday morning. Not sure what is available where you are, but keep it simple. Farmer's market, park. Don't say anything. Just go do something normal. Couple of hours wandering around enjoying the scenery, maybe some light lunch after that. Later tell her how much you enjoyed spending that time with her.

Ok kids, how many references to jw.org can you find in the new mag?
by FadeToBlack inwife just got back from meeting with new abbreviated mags.
first thing i noted was how many references to the official web site are in the awake.
could be competitive for the kids who count how many times the speaker says jhvh or jesus or gb.

20 Questions
by Terry inlet's say there is a new law.. once each year the leader(s) of any religious group have to answer 20 questions in public on tv posed by their critics.. twenty questions are allowed for a one hour presentation.. of course, we would expect softball answers.
except for one thing: the questioner can press a "bullshit" button!.
that would mean the question is repeated and another answer was called for.

QUESTION: Is it possible that a flood covered the entire earth in 2370 BC(E) and wiped out all life except for 8 people and as many animals as they could fit in their boat? (I'm just focusing on the year, nothing else about flood legend, which would also consume entire hour)...
QUESTION: Is it reasonable to believe that prior to 2370 BC(E) it had never rained before on the earth?
QUESTION: Is it likely that Hebrew is the original/earliest human language?
My suggestion for questioner: Leoleia

Watchtower's greatest failure: the absence of IGNORANCE
by Terry inknowing is good.. not knowing is bad.. knowing that you don't know leads to inquiry, research and education.
that is good.. assuming you know the validity of your research material is bad.. sometimes you are stumped but you don't know that you are stumped.
you proceed anyway.. .

Nice post Terry. I'd much rather belong to a religious organization that said: we are just a bunch of people trying to figure it out. Sometimes we are wrong. We welcome your input. Does such an organiztion exist?
