  hi, i'm new....and i am searching for a place to call home..... i was raised in a strict catholic family....sexually abused by a jesuit priest....left the church....married....was baptized a witness in 1975...regular pioneered for about 5 and a half years (1988 to 1994)...quit that...diagnosed depressed....have slowly drifted away....and now...with the news of what is happening within the organization and offenders and pedophiles....i find that i can't stay in the organization....i can't be a part of something that so closely resembles the catholic church and all their deceptiveness.... i have no "home"...... thanks for listening....

  Is Sex Just Sex, or is Sex making love?

  okay, my ex says that sex is just sex, it isn't love.

  love is deeper than sex, and sex is just to feel good...he also says that love is an entirely different thing, and if i think having sex has anything to do w/ sex, then i am crazy.

  what is your views on this..

  well i was posting about my new found relationship on the dating board, but here is an update for you all we are going to meet on june 7th.

  it seems like forever away...but i am trying to make this work.

  I'M FREE!!!

  this is my first post on this site, and i feel very liberated and comfortable, so i have a feeling that this d/b may be a good thing for me.

  my story (although to my "worldly" support group it sounds strange) is alot like many of yours.

  i was raised a witness, altough my parents have been inactive as long as i can remember.

  Dissociated family excluded from funeral services

  apparently, disassociated relatives are not allowed to be in the procession lines at kingdom hall services.

  they can attend but they cannot be with their relatives to receive condolenses.

  this happened recently to someone whose aunt had passed away.

  To My Mother

  at about 6:30 this evening my mother passed away.. .

  the best mother and the best wife anybody could ever be blessed with.

  she was not only my mother, she was my friend.

  Allies or Enemies but no real Friends

  over the past decades i`ve noticed most jw`s have allies or enemies but no real friends.as long as dub`s toe the wbts line,thier dub friends and family are friendly to them.should wbts tell them to turn thier backs on dub friends or family,most will do so in a heartbeat.most dubs are loyal to wbts period,there is no room for real friends and family.today`s allie is tommorows enemie.it`s a crime that a religious cult like this can tear away at the very fabric that holds the family unit together.how many of us have seen this played out over and over again?...outlaw

  i emailed the 3 local tv news websites and the local paper.. i've gotten 2 responses back, one a form letter and this one from wmaz-13 was a personal response:.

  thanks so much for talking back to 13wmaz about jehovah's witnesses.

  the information you provide is certainly food for thought, and something we'll certainly check into.. again, thanks for taking the time to write us and for watching 13wmaz!

  Cold hearted JWs

  it just amazes me.

  i sent the articles on child molestation to a jw back in wisconsin and her response was "so?".

  my son sent the articles to a jw couple he thought were friends and their response was that the victims should keep quiet so as not to bring reproach on jehovah's organization and then they went to the elders and accused my son and daughter-in-law of being apostates.. they can be so cold hearted and never miss a chance to back stab a best friend.. well, it did accomplish one thing.

  i guess somebody should tell the watchtower, there not religious:.

  "this is a business association merely; it was chartered as a corporation by the state of pennsylvania, and authorized to hold or dispose of property in its own name as though it were an individual.

  it is merely a business convenience in disseminating the truth.
