Matthew 24 :14 VS Christ Jesus 100 + year Reign / Christendoms 2000+ year reign
by smiddy init has been over 100 years since jesus christ was enthroned as king in the heavens in 1914 according to jehovah`s witnesses with the task of preaching "this good news of the kingdom" in all the inhabited earth .for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.. it`s been over 2000 years since this task was given to jesus disciples , who evolved into christendom over the centuries with many sects that abound today.. neither have succeeded in carrying out this task to completion and christendom has had far longer an opportunity to do so.
however jehovah`s witnesses claim they are the true religion with gods approval .. so you would expect a better achievement .
jesus christ has used up more than 100 years of his rule with no major accomplishments , it does not look like he is going to achieve any better than what christendom did in 2000 years.in fact by all accounts he is going to be far worse.. jehovah`s witnesses as a minority sect are becoming more irrelevant as each year passes.. even their "witnessing" has been dumb`d down so much that it is an embarrassment to observe in the field.. in the 60`s and 70`s their was an urgency to get this message across to people , today ?

Pity the JWs couldn't look after their own children the way they look after the children of other religions and atheists.

Interesting comments relating to donations. I removed adblocker from this site and I am currently looking at a page of ads requesting actual donations of money, including ads from Red Cross and Childfund. I have no problem with this. Real charity work helps the world, unlike the Borgs self-only-benefit charity.

Convention Videos: Someone messed up royally
by ILoveTTATT2 in.
when i first saw the video, i was like, "wait... is that her... panties showing through the dress"?and it seems like it is so.turns out that if you look at the middle right of the video, there are some letters.
it reads, "footage provided by pond5".if someone wants to purchase that video to confirm, you can purchase it here:http://depositphotos.com/63621499/stock-video-violinist-girl-walking-through-a.htmli think that this was a royal mess up because i doubt they would put footage of a sister in a skimpy, revealing dress.doesn't the gb approve this?this will probably go down as another of the "subliminal images"...if there are thongs in paradise... might not be so bad after all!.

Simon says: BTW: In the interest of exJW-ness I'm willing to study her bottom in more detail tomorrow. I will publish my findings when I have come to a conclusion.
My initial view, based on a cursory watching, is that her bottom is a nice one.Glad to hear that someone has made the ultimate sacrifice to get to the bottom of this.
This reminds me of the Petit Pascal image in the You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth book.

Is it Time to Declare that The Great Tribulation Has Started ?
by OnTheWayOut ini don't really engage in doctrinal discussions about jw's anymore.
they seem to say some pretty crazy stuff.
but i have read some threads discussing doctrinal changes and how watchtower is really out of ideas and money at the same time.

Conversation with some trolley ladies (and a nosey elder-type):
ME: What religion are you?
THEM: Jehovah's Witnesses.
ME: Wow, really? I have a close friend, Kevin, who works at the United Nations as an expert on international religious affairs. Kevin was telling me recently that he was called in to a high level UN meeting where they were discussing the Jehovah church. He said that many of the various government ambassadors were there and they were talking about plans to ban the Jehovah's church worldwide and sieze all their assets. Kevin also told me that they were already starting in Europe and Russia. He said it could be the end of the Jehovah church and that almost all the goverment officials were in agreement.
THEM: (Stupified).
ELDER-TYPE MALE: The Bible prophecied that governments would turn on false religion.
(I don't he gave much thought to that answer and what he actually said with his Freudian-slip but rather parrot-quoted the party line.)
ME: Really? Are the Jehovah's expecting the governments to turn on their church?
ELDER-TYPE MALE: The Bible says that they will and we believe the bible.
ME: Wow, because my friend at the UN said that the plans were being made be because of the prevelance of child abuse within the Jehovah church and the coverups. That's why the Jehovah church is being investigated all around the world. Wouldn't want to be a member of your church when the police and governments start rounding up all your leaders and ministers. You're gonna need somewhere to hide, like a basement or something. Have a nice day.
KEEP THEM GUESSING
The RC hasn't started in my area but these JW's will no doubt feel that the bunker videos are "food at the proper time."
Maybe everyone, everywhere, should share my Kevin experience and get them all edgy and nervous. After all, the GB are playing the fear factor and who are we to argue with the Guardians of Doctrine.

nonjwspouse: "It HAS to be a powerful seed to plant when they believe official WT propaganda to be apostate when it is viewed first outside the KH/convention etc."
Way back in 1988 I received my very first "leak" an advance copy of the Revelation Climax book. The book was eventually spotted on my desk at home and I was turned in to the elders for having apostate literature. Go figure. Of course nowadays the teachings in the book are actually considered apostate in the most part.
I was so furious about being falsely accused that I had a bunch of the illustrations, the more bizarre ones, printed up. I did this by taking photos of the pictures with my then brand new 35mm SLR Canon EOS 620 camera, and had prints developed. The photos I left lying around everywhere.

Does GB 2.0 Have The Guts To Publish A Book On Revelation?
by JW_Rogue inso we all know that the old revelation book is "old light" and the gb would like to sweep it under the rug.
however, since they have been reinterpreting many of the parables from the gospels, many jws are confused as to how it all fits in with the book of revelation.
plus, they have been emphasizing the nearness of the end and the gt.

Yup, "they're just put out there by opposers to make the Organization look bad!"...
...y'know... like the Sparlock cartoon.Funny you should mention Sparlock. I got a negative anti-apostate response from the same JW, and a few other JWs, about Sparlock the warrior wizard. You think they would learn to stop criticizing mother Watchtower.
Also got a very similar response re: Geoffrey Jackson and his appearance before the ARC. Poor waco jacko got called an apostate by many a JW.
"The truth about the truth" ... Priceless!

Witness Carts - A Vehicle for Significant Decline
by slimboyfat ini was stalking to a jw today about her recent experience on the carts and with being a jw generally.
until this conversation i considered the carts as just an ineffective preaching method and a harmless waste of time.
but now i wonder if the effect of the carts might be to produce noticeable decline in jw numbers.
