The origional had cane sugar here too. In the 80s after the "new coke" fiasco I believe is when they returned to coke classic and began with the government subsidised HFCS.
The Very origional Coke had , cocaine. I believe it is still like that in some countries.

Vidiot, only speculation. All that is known is it took much longer than people who were concerned felt acceptaable. The subject was brought up immediatly with the request to shut it down and reopen as a private by approval only to keep those who didn't want to be "found out" as being in there without thier approval would no longer have been force added without approval. In other words everone in the group would know they were added.
I personally feel AAWA can really do the most good by informing the unaware public about the WTBTS and the inner real workings of the mind control. Form there, the current members may or may not see the "light". But to really hurt the WT it must be done from the outside. Stop the unawares from being indoctrinated without previous real knowladge of what the WT is REALLY about.

What do jws need a digital scoreboard for?
by blondie inthe panthers provided testimony supporting the projected economic impact.
a representative of the jehovahs witnesses told the commissioners that a multi-year deal to hold the annual church convention at the arena (known lately as the bb&t center) hinged on a new scoreboard.
(why the witnesses need a digital scoreboard might invite satirical speculation but, given the perilous state of my own mortal soul, ill leave that to the readers.).

I have a guess. On top of the obvious to me green palm deal, the WT can plae up the numer of baptized people, number of publisher hours, etc etc... with it ever growning ( with a good bit of statictic spinning of course) to garner excitement from the crowd in a new way. It is a specticle in that it will keep changing, you know like the national debt ticker specticle.

WT August 15, 2013 QFR - Sitting next to a disfellowshipped child at meetings
by Designer Stubble inpage 8 of the latest wt (insider version) has a whole page dedicated to the question whether it is appropriate to sit next to a disfellowshipped child at meetings.. not sure how to paste this in, but check jw.org.
perhaps someone can do this for me.. horrible, no words really on how pharisee like their cult grip and control has become!.
first of all, without any shame they are talking about disfellowshipped minors.

Ya know, when the organization places an increased stranglehold on associating with any DFed or DAed person, and people actually adhear to this , shunning their own children, even those living at home, maybe even minor children, then they see others appearing not to do so. I can see how they would become enraged. They "obeyed" when others seemed not to. It's SICK and breeds more sickness. The stronger the hold the more self rightous people will become. The lesss people are able to see what natural affection really is. They give over thier mental reasoning abilities and emotional ones, to the Borg.
SO so sad. I predict a mass turnover. Lost of people leave, and lots of people coming in trying to "save" themselves with a promise of knowing all the answers. The promise of being a part of a "clean and pure" congregation. No personal emotional or thinking "work" or stress. It's all provided for them, whether they understand any of it or not, they just accept and then get a guarenteed the "family" at the KH.

It seems like I read at about the same time the WT was advising not to study greek or hebrew because there were already people doing that for them.

Advice on being an enabler to my unbaptized JW son
by marriedtoajw inok i feel almost embarrassed coming to this board and asking advice about something that my common sence has already answered for me, but i hesitate because of possible fall out unique to jw issues.
most of my posts on this board lately have been about my 21 year old son's involvment with the jw's encouraged by jw mom, both knowing i'm against what they teach.
i've gotten some good advice on this board by some of you who answered a previous post of mine related to my concern of me being an enabler to my 21 year old son.

My sister rescues her son. She justifies it each time with one thing or another. It all sounds good, but it isn't helping him. He has become dependant, yet wants the privilidges of being independant. Can't have it both ways if you are acting like an adult.
But If I were you I would not do this suddenly. Give him deadlines for things. Help him without doing things for him. He WILL fail now and again. That's ok, those sre usually the best lessons. It's so, so hard watch them fail when you KNEW they would fail. But the only way for him to grow is to experience the decision making and critical thinking skills.
Above all of course is to show your love for him regardless of success or failure. You should not be a financial safety net, but you are an emotional safety net. You will be there for him anytime he needs someone to talk to, to listen, to give advice when asked.
All of this is way easier to type than to actually Do. I have three adult children, with the next one quite a ways off from that time, but it will be here before I know it.

It's so good you went. I have had more than one depressive episodes in my life. I think my body has a natural tendancy towards depression, but when severe life happens, well, sometimes I feel like I fall off a cliff and I can't get back up. Those are the times I took medication and used talk therapy to help get back up again.
When the chemical imbalance happens it's like all your motivation is taken away, your thought process changes, you know what you should do, what you need to do, but you literally can't.
My weight is finally up to a healthy level again. It took months for me to get back to a point of not feeling like I was in a hole.
I hope your depression is lifted somewhat soon and you then can see the light at the end of that depression tunnel.

The only thing they need to know is that the GB are men, and the JW are worshipping and obeying these men regardless of how wrong they might be.
Once a JW sees this, the rest becomes clear.
But if they do not want to see this, not one thing can be said or written that will cause them to question the GB. Not one.

Whoa Mary, you hit the nail on the head three years ago didn't you?
" I believe that they're going to try and turn even more hardcore. They'll lose alot of members but I think they'd be willing to cut their losses. They'd rather rule over a pliable group of 3,000,000 members, than 6,000,000 who aren't really 'paying close attention' when the Oracle speaks.
With regards to the actual doctrines, I figure the following will probably happen:
- Storing your own blood will become a "conscience" matter, as will plasma;
- Witnesses will be told in the study articles that they should have extremely limited (if any) contact with family members who have simply 'faded';
- Regular pioneers will only have to get 50 hours in each month
- Auxillary pioneers will only have to get 30 hours in each month
- Leaving all your possessions to the WTB&TS will be strongly 'recommended' as opposed to leaving it to your family;
- The "Faithful and Discreet Slave" will be referring ONLY to the Governing Body members
- They'll be 12,000+ partaking at the Memorial which could lead them to make the "144,000" number, symbolic. Since they've already downgraded any of the 'anointed' as being on the same footing as the 'other sheep', it won't make any difference to them one way or another how many partake, because they won't be part of the 'Slave class'"
The blood issue hasn't happend yet, but I bet it will!
