16Newbie With Questions
by NoLongerAjw inhi, i just found this board yesterday.. i have a question or two.. for one i am sorry if this is not where i should post this.. if it is not please direct me where to go .. 1st question... is this for current witnesses or ex witnesses?
i havent been to the kingdom hall for almost 2 years.. i was directed here by someone who said it was for ex witnesses.. but the front page looks like it is for witnesses to have bible studies.. and such.. which is not what i am looking for i did that for 14 years.. till i got married had 2 kids and finally got a life now at the age of 24.
2nd... can you tell me which board on here a newbie like me can post their experinces and such.

Hey girl,
I'm sorry to hear what you're going thru and I can totally relate because I have been a single sister trying to make her way through life alone. I was discouraged from going to college/university because it was considered being materialistic and that going would take you out of the truth, bad associations, etc, etc. So for the 4 years that I could have been studying for a degree, I was either unemployed, or working part-time during an economic recession. Oh, and kicked out of home by my Witness father and step-mother. It was a great start to life. [8>]
The ones in your cong looking down on you are being hypocrites. Perhaps you could remind them that they are not keeping up to date with the FDS by refusing to accept the new thinking on the education issue.
Can you have a talk with an elder that you get on with and discuss the problems you have been having re the car lifts to meetings? Just focus on that issue, point out that you are trying to stay strong spiritually, but the fact that the sisters are reluctant to give you lifts is making it hard for you to get to the meetings. Just stay on the spiritual side of things, don't bring up the college issue, so that the discussion doesn't get side-tracked.
And my heart goes out to you. It is hard to have to do things on your own, but stay focused on your goals in life, and don't let any one's negativity get in the way.
It's your life, so enjoy it!

hmmm... so why was this kid wasting his time emailing "apostates" - instead of studying his Watchtowers or even better, the BIBLE???? Or being out in the preaching work? Or helping his Mum around the house? Or mowing the lawn? Helping the elderly ones in his congregation?

I'm definately not surprised by this. I was kicked off WOL because I was honest enough to say on this DB (jw.com) that I was inactive by choice. Having read this, despite going against the counsel of their FDS about visiting "apostate" websites, they decided that I was not worthy of being allowed to post at WOL anymore because I was inactive. Even though I hadn't posted any "controversial" posts on their site! They admitted this in a letter to me, which I posted here a month or so ago.
I just hope one day these people wake up to themselves one day. They must live such shallow lives to have to practice such low-grade behaviour.

I've figured it out!
Xandit comes here because he's got no friends! Because his "liberal" cong doesn't exist, he just wishes it did! And because he holds so strongly to his leberal views, the real cong he associates at considers him to be "spiritually weak" and "immature". So they don't associate with him outside the meetings and field service, which he only participates in when he feels inclined to.
Why is Xandit so negative in all his posts? Because he's a bitter, disillusioned guy who wants things to be the way he wants them to be. But ain't. Because the world isn't really how it appears to Xandit, who wears rose colour glasses all the time so he can block out the realities of his sad, lonely life. When was the last time Xandit posted a happy, postitive post?
It's time to grow up and get on with your life.
Take your own advice, Xandit. If you don't like it here, leave. -

by RR ini'm getting a kick on the wol board, there is a post there that's too funny.. apparently one of the witnesses went on a return visit with an elder and the guy they came to visit was "un-witnessable.
well, apparently he had the same beliefs as they did, so how do you witness to someone who agrees with you?
so the frame of thought from the replies is pretty much, if he has some truths, he must be an apostate, or perhaps he studied one of our publication.

OTOH, no organization without Jehovah's spirit can remain united in love. If the individual is sincere, he will likely eventually see the truth about his organization. Until then, there may not be much that can be done.
hmmm... Maybe Dang is an apostate but he doesn't know it yet? It sure sounds like apostate talk to me, eh?
