  Yesterday's Watchtower Study

  yesterday's watchtower study appears to have revealed a little.

  bit of new light.. there is a scripture in psalm 91:7,8 that speaks about 1000's falling.

  It's not just me then. You'll all notice that all prophecies now apply "primarily" to the "brothers of Christ", and only marginally if ever to poor us of the "great crowd". Huh. Christ died for them (the memorial talk emphasizes that every year), and only secondarily "us" - trickle down effect of sorts. Everything in the "Christian Greek Scriptures" was written for "spirit-anointed Christians". They've taken claim over all the scriptures; Christ is no longer our mediator but theirs. Now, we first have to look up to them to intercede on our behalf, we poor plebians.

  This is nothing but nascent idolatory.

  the "christian longo" drama has been on television and in the newspapers now for about a week, and will stay in the headlines until he is captured.. the xjw community ****now**** has a good opportunity to communicate with reporters to explain that jw shunning may very well have been the driving force behind longo's downhill slid which finally climaxed in an act of mass-murder.. per the news articles, longo's initial problems appear to have been "financial".

  such problems could have been dealt with if longo's parent's would simply have offered and provided financial assistance.

  yada yada yada the truth answered the questions with sense but u still are bitter demonic humans its sad that u hate the truth but soon jehovah will send a fire ball with your name on it cheers.

  i had to show this to some nonjw today is friday and here in dc most gov workers are off till the 7th.

  we have over 450 folks in this office and only 21 folks are logged in and 7 which are the folks here in the it dept so it is slow- we got folks cleaning all the "space bars" on the pcs on the floor smile.

  Come off it James. It's irritating how you could generalize about Jehovah's Witnesses so easily as if you were talking about some alien species. There is no such thing as a "typical" Witness. I know you served in Bethel, were an elder, etc. In all your peregrinations, you cannot say that people like MalcolmX represent the mainstream. If you must know, those like him who come on public boards all foaming in the mouth are not typical but marginal. The "typical" Witness, if there is ever such a creature, hardly ventures into cyberspace to rant. Many Witnesses have their intelligence and decency challenged on a daily basis reading comments as you have made. There is no point putting up superior airs simply because you decided to be a Witness no more. The very credit you claim Witnesses deny others, you are in turn denying them by your words and insinuations. Get back down from that high horse, Sir.

  I am sorry, but you're sinking into ever lower depths with every passing post. You are letting your blind hatred of JWs becloud your reasoning, reasoning as to the possibility that:

  - Longo's parents may have been as supportive as they possibly could;
  - Longo's parents must feel a huge sense of loss and bewilderment as to what their son may have done;
  - the WT shunning policy may have nothing to do with this crime, not even remotely;
  - you're being totally unfair asking that a campaign be opened over an as yet unsubstantiated issue; etc.
  - Longo, if indeed he committed this crime, is the first to be held responsible....

  You are letting your hatred of the WTBTS consume your human decency. All said, that's really pathetic.

  Since your intention was to offend the sensibilities of those who still believe in the biblical portrayal of Jesus, you can fell pretty proud that you succeeded. However, it tells so poorly on your sense of judgement to come to a forum of this nature ostensibly to offend and shock. It is sad indeed for a board that was set up to discuss biblical issues and Witnesses.

  a couple of months ago i was addicted to this board when the whole un thing was going on.

  i really thought that the exposure of the wts's involvement would open the door for me to walk away from the wt without reprucussions, you know, a valid excuse so as to not be shunned.

  (a pipe dream, i know) .

  If your agenda is to see the end of the WTBTS, it won't come in your lifetime. If you want to make a change in your life by leaving, then go ahead and do so. Forget about the WT crumbling; it won't happen any time soon. Assuming the Dateline programme ever aired, it will not touch 99.9% of Witnesses in any fundamental way; in fact the congregations will very likely receive orders to put members on guard not to watch it - and most will obey.

  Any athiests here had a demon experience?

  i've made friends with a mormon lady, and she told me that her 14yo daughter has thrown out all four harry potter books because she's realised they are dabbling in and encouraging demons.

  then she told me about her demon experiences herself.

  has any exjw, of sound mind, had a proper demon experience (as opposed to improper!!)?

  Why would atheists have a demon-related experience? They are already controlled by demons and don't need any other experience. They are inhabited by demons, drive around with demons, produce little demons, dine and wine with demons, are married to demons, etcetera etcetera ad infinitum.

  Atheists are by their very nature demons.

  You can't do much worse than that, can you?
