The cult got a lot of hippies and granola nuts in the 60s and 70s to join. My guess if they are targeting these nuts as they seem to fall for anything that echos their nuthole ideas. With numbers falling off I think that they are grabbing at any angle to bolster the ranks.

A positive about been a former JW
by joe134cd ini decided on christmas day to wash the house and do some yard work.
i had a concerned neighbour come out and bring me some of their christmas food.
although i appreciated the food and wished her a merry christmas, the neighbour was concerned as to why i wasn’t inside enjoying christmas.

My wife wants and does put up a small tree. I don't do lights or get into it. In fact I hate Xmas. Not because of and left over JW BS but its so commercialized. I hate the Music, the people rushing everywhere, panic buying and all the rest. Its just a PITA. I know its because I don't have any of the good memory of family getting together and the rest but it is what it is. I hate Xmas.

Has anyone contested a Will and WON????
by cha ching inmy jw mom just died last week, about 6 1/2 months after my non jw dad died (dehydration, starvation, imo) i was the executor of that will.
before a month had passed of his death, my dad & mom's will was changed.
i didn't know until she died.

Find a good lawyer in this field and have him look at the will and circumstances. There may be a way to take it to court and gum it up at least to make your sister just be fair and avoid the court and time and money. Do it fast or you risk everything.

by JWTom insimilar to the bethelites being dismissed topic for march/april 2020 is the article for april 5-11 related to the idea "if you just do what jw.org says....then someone is going to slide cash under your door and it will all be good related to your future finances" (link below).. i know current jws that believe this and have pimi family that believe this.
they believe these even though they have endlessly challenging finances even struggling to pay bills.
the reality is that anyone struggling financially as a jw is going to be in a state of poverty just trying to survive.
