I think Trump is the last person who'd claim to have COVID if he doesnt really have it. For him to say that he has must be really bad.

Mine eased off when I found an outlet to explain the JW world to outsiders. (I chose a Q&A website Quora).
I found laughing at it helped to. Making fun of the GB, making jokes about the pictures in JW literature and basically making whole comedy scripts off the bizzare-ness of the JW world.
Maybe it'll never disappear entirely.
for me, outside the jw context, that word seems to relate to something like a prison setting, where you're allowed to do certain things based on good behavior.

(for girls) if you havent married the first or second person you've dated you're considered promiscuous or something wrong with you.. you get your scientific knowledge from a magazine written by people who've never been to college and have never actually read the source they claim to be citing.. you get excited if there's a storm or natural disaster.. you get excited when there's a terrorist attack.. you get excited when there's a pandemic.. your version of tinder is the lunch break at a convention.. your girlfriend dresses like her grandmother.. your grandparents, despite being in the same religion as you, died believing totally a different belief system..
I was discussing this with another sister once. She said the men in the religion have ‘pick of the litter’ because there were so many women..but sisters are expected to accept ‘ugly goons’ because there are so few men and the decent ones are already taken.
I always found the prettiest JW girls were already snapped up by age 20. But I should have bided my time, they were usually divorced by 30!

i was reading through this site the other day and came across several posts by different posters lamenting this site, saying what a shame it has gone from debating jw believers to talking politics and current affairs.. there are a few issues i have with these kind of posts.. first, discussing politics is actually a good thing.
well, in case you haven't noticed, we in the west are going through a culture war.
certain groups of far-leftists are trying - and sometimes succeeding - to shut down free discussion.
I asked on here a while ago what this disdained word "liberal" means in political context. Genuine quesiton.
