Nope, they believe in fleecing the sheep. Nothing more than a belief in how to get that job done is needed.

Does the GB actually believe it all?
by schnare indo you guys think that the gb actually believes the garbage that they print?
how could they actually believe their new "overlapping generation" doctrine?
wouldn't they have access to anything ever printed and have knowledge of all the false prophecy?

When I was living in Albuquerque, NM, my family attended one of the Spanish congregations. One young elder was giving the prayer at the end of the school/servive meeting one night and he wished Jehovah a good night. Jah is the ruler of the universe. I kinda assumed he ALWAYS had a good night, but as time went by I suppose he really has shitty nights too.
Another time this same elder forgot to mention Jesus at all in his prayer. A few of us noticed but NONE of the elders did. The NEXT meeting said young elder gave the opening AND closing prayer. He mentioned Jesus several times in each prayer. I thought of him the other day and looked him up thinking he may have been acting out back then and was now out. But he is apparently some kind of coordinator for the wt assemblies in the Amarillo, TX region.
He was a good guy. His wife had a handshake like a vice but was nice too. I hope they get outta there before it's too late.

I have a very good question, maybe one of you can answer this question.
by Iamallcool ini watch cops tv show(usa) from time to time.
i noticed that some cops intitated traffic stops of people that went to the well known drug houses and they take the buyers to jail because of possession of drugs, but i was wondering why they leave the well known drug houses alone?

Back in the early 90's when my wife was pregnant with our youngest child, I, and in collusion with my wife and brother skipped an entire circuit assembly and instead, attended a Star Trek convention at the Red Lion Inn in Sacramento. Felt good!

JOKE
I was in a pub on Saturday night. Had a few. I noticed two fairly large women by the bar. They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Scotland?" One of them chirped: "It's Wales you friggin ' idiot!" So I imediately apologized and said..., "Sorry, are you two whales from Scotland?". . . .
Then the lights went out...............

I saw one sister who was disabled and dealing with a hyperactive boy. He would run around the hall and assemblies with his dracula haircut as his trenchcoat flapped behind him like a cape! We called him the BAT CHILD. He left the cult when he turned 18, joined the Navy and is now raising his kids in one of Christendom's churches. Despite being tethered most of his young life he turned out fine.

I am constantly shunned.
by Valentines inthe funny thing is, the witnesses don't even realize they are doing it.
since i've stopped going to meetings i've grown a beard and dropped over 80 pounds, i don't look a thing like i used to.
whenever i see a witness, i'm basically the one to decide whether or not a conversation is going to happen.

In Plain Sight! I love that term. I also grew out my beard and lost some weight, but everyone still knows me...LOL Most of them avoid me at the store or out in public. But I am 6'2" tall and about 300 lbs now so maybe they think I joined another cult, like the Hells Angels...LOL

Opinions on keeping your identity secret
by rebel8 insome ex-jws feel strongly we should all be "out of the closet" so we can present real faces to the public on the issue of cult dangers.
to those folks i say, more power to you, all the best.. for my own life i have a different approach.. compartmentalizing is healthy for me.
it keeps my past in the past.

I appreciate your stance on this. I also appreciate the out of the closet stance. each of us has our own set of circumstances and I feel that however we stand on this issue is a personal matter. My surviving family are aware of my position, however my wife's family are very much still into the whole wt's judge and destroy policy, so I keep a low profile MOST of the time for Mrs TOTH'S sake.
You are right...WHY start a fight with people who no longer matter to you. They are not in your life so I agree to just let them be.
