Will firing the DOs be the first step to a new Watchtower?

against my better judgement, i've decided to share the following as a response to guy pierce passing and the announcement of the elimination of district overseers later this year.. late in january (2014) i got an email from one of my contacts (a fader) who served at bethel for several years, but is no longer at wt hq.

he still has a lot of close contacts within the service department and in other departments at patterson and knows people in all of the ny offices.

i kept this email set aside on a flash drive and haven't shared it with anyone - figuring i'd publish an article about it later this year when i had more time to do it right.

seems to support so much of what us "apostates" have been predicting. Perhaps the WTS is not so clandestine after all.

That point about paying attention to changes that "happen right under your nose".... that is so true! How many times are subtle paragraphs slipped into an article and then left alone for 5 years or more before being dragged out into the light as a footnote to a big new whopper of a WT sudy? Then "wow, I guess we've sort of believed this alread for years!"

What do you think are the future doctrine changes will be?

the whole organization is going through huge and big changes.

it can be seen by names of departments, to how things function and teaches.

my questions to you is, what do you think the future changes will be, both in teaching and organizational matters?.

I gotta be honest with you depressedsoul, I think you missed the mark on every one of your points

1914 - this has been reinforced even as of the infamous july 15, 2013 WT. While the ubiquitisness of its importance is diminishing it is still the "go to" year for JW's and the defining moment of truth for JW's

Disfellowshipping - this will become (and is already) a key tool in the hands of the Org. The redefined "no longer a JW" will be applied less formally to various behaviours causing JW's to even shun those that are not officially DF'd. The "no longer a JW" will be applied to inactive ones, those who have studied but never baptized, those who don't go to meetings anymore, etc. It's already the means by which the society DF's JW's that take blood.

Blood Issue's - Blood will be a conscience decision by or before 2025

Elders - elders are the engine of the BOrg. They NEED elders. They will be policed more, but they will always be the backbone of the org. Without elders in the face of the R&F guilting them into servitude, the org would fall apart.

Less focus on the "end" - ironically the exact opposite is happening. the society is cleverly removing imminent dates and replacing with "unknown periods of time" while at the same time coming up with rediculuos ways to convince people the end is still sooooo close.... like "were in the second part of the overlapping generation" crap. They extended the one generation to a century old, then when its two generations they try to shorten it back down. such bullshit.

The Birth of the Universe - Scientific Breakthrough

researchers working with a telescope at the south pole beleive they have glimpsed light from the first "trillionth of a trillionth of a tillionth" of a second after the big bang.. a lot of work has still to be done to confirm the findings, but if it holds up it is one of the biggest discoveries ever.. _________________________________________.

whenever I talk about the big bang theory to j-dubs i always use the "Jehovah" angle to keep their spidey-senses from tingling.

Ironic that the dubs will accept the evolution of the univers over billions of years but as soon as you talk about dinosuars their eyes gloss over and then insist they were killed in the flood.

how can you accept the creation of matter and planets in the universe, processes that repeat over billions of years and then get to the dinosuars and insist science "doesn't know anything" and that mountains were created by the wieght of water that swirled around the atmosphere unitl God made it fall down?

So God uses physics to create the universe naturally but then plays magic tricks with earth? what a joke

Will the GB be alive at armageddon(tm)?

ok. i don't believe that the watchtower(r) armageddon(tm) is anything but fantasy.. i do recall speculation about how the 'anointed(tm)' might all be dead before the big 'a' or that some will survive through it and help the r&f.

i heard brothers speculating that after the big 'a' the 'anointed(tm)' would be spirited away to heaven.. i wonder what they think will happen to the gb on, before or after the big 'a' now?.

yes this was finally confirmed with the now infamous July 15, 2013 WT. The debate as to what would happen prior to that was confused ever since the 90's reference to the Nephunem (sp?) looking after the org. after all the anointed die before Armageddon.

July 15 WT finally came out said: all anointed will be "physically" dead BEFORE armageddon..... ie: raptured

and then an "unknown period of time" will pass until the big A actually occurs. Or maybe they said "immediately after" the rapture the big A will take place. I can't remember. I don't really care anymore

the GB seems to be copying the strategy of the new Pope Francis

whatever the Catholic church does this year, the GB will copy it and come out with a JW version of it at the assembly

i also agree with Keyser.... a reasoning book revision is looooooooooooong over due

New Policy on Inactive Ones?

this may have been discussed, but i just recently was told that a km this past year stated that inactive ones are now to be treated as if they are df'd.

is this so?

as many have stated, this is not a "written" rule. But anyone here that regularly attends meetings still can read the implications that strongly suggest to do so.

I have been seeing inferences to such behaviour repeatedly over the past couple of years.
